"I didn't think you did, " He answers "But others might jump to the wrong conclusion."

"I guess, yeah...."

He opens his drink and takes a sip

The two drink quietly for a moment, and he says "So...just asking, what kind of magic would you like to do?"

"I wanna fly."

"Wayfare is popular" A nod and smile

"If you're not too proud, ask Gerd for some tips. she's..an adept at it."

"Frank did a thing with fire. That could be badass."

"Could be. Also saw Jaymes use lightning. I have ice and cold. We're a zappy bunch now that I think of it"

"Lightning? Now that's cool. Like Storm!"

"Well..yeah, but ice and snow, don't you think that's also bad ass?"

"Yeah.... will the bird be okay?"

"yes." He says "I'll see to it"

"Actually, I'll remove the arrowhead, and most likely one of our healers will see to it"

"So - the freezing is like suspended animation, sort of, until Kerri gets back?"

"exactly"

"That's kinda cool."

"Thanks. And yes, Skycraft with the lightning is pretty boss too. Soothsay is handy, but subtle...it's like reading natures and fortune and so on. Frankly, I think your idea of Wayfare and one of the 'zap' types works. If you like lightning, ask to learn it. WHat's the point of being a mythical badass creature if you can't try to learn some magic you like best? "

"I could be like a superhero. I mean, I'm already sort of - being strong."

"yeah, but um.. don't try to bounce bullets off you. That's a good way to die fast."

"Is there magic for that?"

"One or two ways, but it's not beginer stuff, and I would never get cocky about it."

"Fair. I've never been shot, but I heard it hurts pretty bad."

"I have been shot, and yes, it hurt like a ..it hurt. NEarly died."

"No way! Did you have to get surgery?"

"In a sense, they removed the bullet, then heather balmed. I would have bled out if not for Tiffany," He blushes at something, lavender at his cheeks, "To this day she refers to me as her damsel"

"Oh, so she rescued you and now you're a thing?"

"Well, first, she's a pooka so nothing she says is quite straight. If you ask a pooka a question, they have to lie and it can be in a number of ways. Frustrtating for all involved," He says "Secondly, they tend to be jokers, not all of them, but they do have wicked sense of humor. Lastly, no..she rescued me and got attached, but as a person. Not eveyrone who wants you as part of their life sees you as a thing. It's more like..." A slow drink, "when it's right, two people give a bit of each other to each other. They test the boundaries of trust. WIth luck, and hard work, and maybe fate on your side, you might find someone who you are glad is in your life and they are glad you are in theirs."

Nose wrinkles. "Hmph. I'm never dating anybody."

"Why not, if I may ask?"

"Boys are gross."

"They can be" he admits, "Hey, boys or girls, you're young. Maybe when you're older, perhaps even much older, you'll change your mind. Until then? You have a right to stay out of that race."

She nods, tugging on her sleeves. "Yeah."

He notes the movement, but makes no comment on that, taking another drink, "So have you met many pooka?"

"There's one at school, Eden. And there was one at Beltaine."

"Eden, yeah, I think Sylvi mentioned her. Doesn't know her well. There's also a beaver pooka lady." A drink

SNERKS.

"Yeah yeah"

"Ow. Nose soda."

"sorry, I should have thought that through" A smile

"Well, Eden is kind of weird, but might be okay."

"She's part snake. Or maybe a lizard, she's got arms and legs..."

"you won't know for sure until you see her in her animal form I suppose"

"I guess. It'd be cool to turn into an animal, too."

"Oh, there are arts for that too"

"I know, right? Clem DeBuke shape changes a lot. Other trolls? Mmm not sure it's that common with most of us at that level of power, but yeah"

"Well, I'd rather have lightning. Like Thor!"

"I can't argue with Thor. Want me to ask Jaymes to start giving you lessons?"
