She eyes Sylvi, then.. Hugs her!

"Oh thank the Dreaming, at least one of us gets to be useful"

Sylvi totally didn't expect the hug, is a few moments before she hugs back. "You're not mad? I was sure you were going to throw a fit!"

"Poor Dagmar has to wait for fostering and I know it bothers her, and I'm trapped and wrapped in cloth so.. no! Why would I be mad? You not going wouldn't make me any more likely TO go."

"Oh I envy you to be sure, and I'lll miss you so much but... you'll stay in touch right? We can ..what's the term? text?"

The return hug is a VERY relieved on. "Thanks, Siv. That means a whole lot."

"Well you earned it. Making the fire bigger, your hard work. I maybe older but you've been doing more for the lodge. Only right you get to represent it."

A big happy sigh as she steps back, beaming. "Well, you're no slouch, and I'm going to have to compete to keep up with the two of you. But...yeah, Mom thinks it would be good for me to see how things are done in a noble court. Like...a Noble court." The capitalization is audible.

"Ha, now I'm almost glad I don't have to go. I bet you have to wear a dress and keep it all lined nice"

Her golden eyes volley back and forth as the girls speak, but otherwise she's carved slate.

A pause...and she shrugs. "I don't mind dresses, really. I mean, as long as they're not frilly and stuff."

She glances over at Dagmar. "You okay in there?"

Grunt. Shrug. Nod.

"Hmph"

She smirks at Siv. "Like you haven't thoguht about trying on some of the things in my closet."

"I have a dress thank you" She smooths her pirate outfit, "it's a twirler...that is, if you spin it picks up nice. Mother has one too, but I've only one memory of her wearing it. It was an anniversery for her and dad ...music was played on the Kestrel and she came out all pretty for da and his eyes got so big I thought he'd blind himself from taking out too much light. THen he got this silly grin, and she looked all pleased, and they danced"

Hunkered down. More a boulder than a rock at her size.

Sylvi's jaw drops...and then she sits down hard next to Dagmar on the log. "The CHIEFTAIN? In a DRESS??"

"Only once and me memories are shakey you know? But Aye. I'd wager good gold on it"

"Wow. I know she has dressed up for court stuff, sometimes...but I never really got to see. I think she made sure not a lot of people saw."

Then a thought, and she turns to Dagmar. "I know you haven't been to Count Autumnsbane's court, yet...but have you even met a sidhe yet?"

A nod. "There was one here to see Frank."

"Yeah? Which one? And...what did you think?"

"Geff..." She purples, frowning. "He was... he was very attractive."

"Yeah. They're all like that."

"....huh."

"Yup"

"Magic, right? Like being strong?"

"Some of them are just OMG gorgeous...and then others? Your brain kind of just stops working when you look at them."

She nods. "Yeah. We got the muscle, they got the looks."

"Hard to fight someone you're too busy sighing over, and it doesn't matter much if they're girls or boys"

"He was very pretty."

"Yeah...you remember what I told you on your first day? About being careful about the promises you make from now on? Well, especially with sidhe, be careful." A pause. "I'll admit, it seems like some are really...basically nice. Like, the really try to do what's best. But others will take advantage of you with that OMG WOW thing they've got going on, and I don't think there's a sidhe in Concordia who wouldn't want to have somebody as strong as you are under oath to them."

Siv bites her lip at something, but then shrugs

"But all trolls are strong... and there's lots of trolls."

"I'm not gonna go running off after anybody, though."

Sylvi caught that. "What, Siv?"

"Just... Thyle. It... some of the trolls in power weren't much better rulers than sidhe, I mean, they were just as power hungry some of them. I wasn't born yet, but I know the story."

"Don't promise anything, or you get fucked over. I got it."

"Yeah...I heard some about it, too. That's seriously screwed up."

A frown to Dagmar. "It's not that simple. You'll want to oath to people at some point, and for some things....but just be careful about it."

A snort. "Because when I fuck up, I get sick and weak and helpless. Right? That's what happens to trolls that break oaths."

"There are benefits to taking oaths"

"Extra strength, boons and blessings to complete your mission"

"Until you break your promise."

"Then...you be careful about your promises...and you don't break them once they're made."

"Some folks never break them"

Siv nods at Sylvi's advice

A snort. "Everyone does."

A hapless look at Sylvi, and a shrug
