"Oh, I hear it's where JEssica stayed for a time. Back when she had no name," Siv says "Jessica is just bad ass. She ended up living in the rafters and meditating or something at Firnost..and almost NO One but sluagh get in the rafters... and then she went to Mexico and fought an evil baroness and saved all these pooka from ritual slaughter. SHe's like Laura fucking Kroft"

"Is she hot?" Vano grins teasingly

"Ha! She's break you in half, boyo," A pause, "And yes, she's very pretty. Sorry, I can't go to Firnost. "

"Your older sister, yeah..."

Vano shrugs, "Your loss, let me know when you want to slip the shackles some night" He winks, then nods to Dagmar, "Cool to meet you, Dag." He straightens his leather jacket and heads towards the trods. Nice ass in that denim.

"Later."

Siv watches him go and sighs, "Now there's a fine lad."

"Eshu, right?"

"Right, you should hear him tell a story... not bad, not bad at all"

She plunks back down on the log, resting her polearm across her knees. "Looks like trouble,"

"I am very curious about where trouble could lead" She says

Sylvi comes out the front door of the Lodge, calling, "Come on, you two...you can't chase each other around inside." Oak and Edelweiss eagerly trot out on her heels.

"Yo, Sylvi!" A deep bark of greeting.

"There she is," A smile, "How are ye, Sylvi?"

The dogs see the other girls and come bounding over to them as Sylvi waves. "Hey." She moves to join them. "I'm good. What's up?"

"Oh, Dagmar came on me singing that silly song Vali taught me to cheer me up. I told her about that Rover story on how that sidhe fellow got 'safely' to his stopping point then taught a lesson... and " She lowers her voice, "Vano was here." Wistful

"Not much. Finally the fuckin' weekend, right?" She holds out a hand for the dogs.

Though really she looks more distracted than good.

"Vano? Again? Wait...Dagmar, did you see this Vano guy? I'm not sure I believe he exists."

"He's not Canadian" She says then adds, "Whatever that means. "

"He's an eshu, yeah."

"Looks all... fancy."

She gives Sylvi a look as if to say See.

Sylvi rolls her eyes and shrugs. "Well, don't expect him to...." she stops herself, pauses, then changes tack. "I guess him being eshu would explain why he keeps being gone before I see him."

"more important, gone before the parents see him" A look around

"Well, yeah." A bit of a grin at that.

"Don't expect what?"

"Oh, nothing. Forget it. Just me talking about stuff I don't know about." She bends to pick up a couple of sticks and tosses the larger in one direction for Oak and the smaller in the other direction for Edelweiss.

"There was a chimera in my english class."

"Yeah? Not as bad as...the stuff you fought, right?"

"never stopped you before? " A bit of a tease at the 'talking about stuff I don't know about' comment.

"The hands? Nah, smaller."

She makes a face at Siv.

"Symon's cat killed it. I think it was a dangling participle."

"Wow...okay, that's creepy. Teacher nightmares, I guess." She tosses the sticks for the dogs again when they bring them back.

She nods. "Yeah. It was loud, but I was trying not to look like a crazy person when I kicked it."

"Did it work?"

That distracted look is back.

Siv grows interested. Perhaps if she got to go a school she too could slay a participle

"Not entirely. Lucky the cat was there, teacher didn't see it."

A long look at Sylvi, eyebrows furrowed.

"Sylvi? You seem distracted"

She bites her lip, then sighs. "I...kind of got some news...? And I want to tell you guys, but...I don't want to make you mad, Siv. I'm just...I'm kind of excited about it...."

"What's up?"

A hesitant glance to Siv, then she can't keep the smile back. "I'm going to be an emissary this summer. Mom just told me. Up in Starbear."

"Starbear?"

Siv looks at her, "So.. you get to go out to some place with an important duty?"

A broader smile. "Alaska."

And the smile fades. "Yeah...but...I'm used to this world Siv. It'll happen for you. I know it will."

Dag stays quiet, expression neutral.
