Earlier at School...

School is school. Dagmar brings her halberd - indeed, she's rarely without it. Even when she's Sam.

Sylvi is off on..who knows what, and Siv doesn't go here so... she's not sure what to make of Zane.

Then, she hears some voices, "I don't get it Eden, you've been avoiding the bible club lately." "Should we pray for you?"

Stupid boys. Stupid school. Tromp tromp tromp. She opens her locker, half listening to the conversation.

"No no, I'm still faithful... still down with the Big Daddy, J-Man and the spook. " A nother girl's voice, a bit panicky

It's the panic that catches her attention. She slams the locker closed, turning to look.

"that's. an awfully ..glib way to refer to the holy trinity, Eden."//"Yeah, Eden, you've been weirder and weirder since last year."//"I was thinking disrespectful." the two speaking now are two girls, very WASPish, with silver promise rings and very modest clothing. Mortal.

Dagmar watches, expression stony but eyes alert - assessing the three players.

The girl they're talking to? Well, Korean American, also dressed modestly, but.. her fae mein reveals a forked tongue coming out of her mouth. And her eyes have a serpentine cast. Come ot think of it, her skin has a scaley look if you close one eye

She folds her arms with a soft 'harrumph.'

"I.. uhm... seriously guys I've got more Faith than the late George Michael" Eden says the sighs

the two girls look over at Dagmar, not sure what to make of her but decide to finish the conversation, "Well, we'll pray for you " One says a bit ..superior in tone. The other pats her on the shoulder "We will and you pray for us" More humble, and the they head off.

"Oh thank god you're not red," Eden the snake girl says as she sees Dagmar and now it's just them.

She looks at the retreating pair, then to the snake-girl. "Yeah. Those two always bitches?"

"No..." She shakes her head.

"only on holydays."

"Well, they're bitches. Fuck'em. Don't let them get to you."

She blushes, "Look, my problem is they can tell I've gone evil. I'll start to wearblack, talk nasty.... show cleavage..." She looks down , "Oh God, I've got to get cleavage, don't I? " She puts her head against the locker, "Some call me Garden but I go by Eden."

"You don't look very evil to me." A broad-shouldered shrug.

"I'm new" She explains

"Me too. In... both ways?"

"Like the pine trees lining the winding road I've got a name. Like that? I totally made it up."

"I'm Sam."

"Seuss is born again, no green eggs. I... uhm.. thanks. I have to get to class. They're really not so bad as bitches go... "Blush, and retreat.

Dagmar sees Eden in a later class.

Dag sits in the back, always. Hood up when she can get away with it.

The pooka does look back, then blink while Mrs Kendlebrook goes on about how dangling prepositions is a thing with which she will not put...or something

the snake pooka is looking OVER Dagmar's head

A slowly raised eyebrow.

Now Eden POINTS up.

She turns to look.

Something that looks like a frowny face with six evenly spaced naked legs like a spider is right over her.

She raises an eyebrow, again.

It's a Chimera... and one should note it is Over Dagmar, not over Eden. Yup. And.. it drops down like a facehugger from Aliens1

A scowl, and she shrugs her shoulders - hitching the halberd to "bump" the creature away.

She bats it on the ground, and, the frowny face turns into a skull with fangs! It SCREECHES! But only the two kithain can hear it.

"...and we try to avoid a passive voice... " the teacher says while it shrieks

She grimaces, shoulders hunched.

And it leaps at her again!

She does a sort of side-kick at it, trying to keep it on the down-low.

"Is everything okay, Samantha?" A raised brow from the teacher...even as the hard kick sends the attacking thing bouncing against the wall.

"Yes'm. Fine."

Her gaze slides sideways, watching the chimera.

"Very well... now, a quick transition can be done between paragraphs so the pause is not too great..."

The Skull's eye sockets light with red fire.

Eden blurts "Oh my god please stop talking, you're going to kill us all"
