Siv glances around. "Would they hear it from me?"

"Probably not," Clem says, "Let me dust off my bossing folks around skills"

Siv nods. "Thank you."

She looks to Frank, frowning.

Frank's expression has gone rather distant.

Clem speaks to Thelma 'the troll' and hands over the prisoner, then calls out, "Moment of your time, Crew of the Wave Maiden. We have a spy in our midst. You might as well know. Seems like we're in politics thicker than the mud of a razorback's ass and twice as dirty. Some of you knew that, some of you are larning the hard way? Me... I've seen it, but must admit it's powerful sad to see it here. We're going to save this place, but for now? We neeed to act whiped, unsure, so keep it under your hats. Don't think of it of it as intrigue, think of it as faking a hand off right before you take the shot."

the crowds stir, and nod, asking who was the spy but most know.

Siv raises a brow, watching the crowd reaction. She stays next to Frank.

"Pretty Boy was caught with evidence, we should have knnown he weren't that good... could handle liquor gentler than Iowa Corn leavings" Some laughter breaks out there, "we're keeping him safe and sound or now as a guest. But mind what ou say near him even when you think he's asleep." Nods all around.

Siv looks at the newer members of the crew, pleased that they are in agreement with the others.

"Now, those of you who are oathbroken and or new, step forward." she look at them as they do so "this is no Oath, this is trust. When death came on crystal winds, you stood. when harm came to the ship, you did not abandon her. Only one broke, and fled, abandoning not just honor, but hope. Of the two, I pity the loss of the latter more, for hope is what you fight for. Hope is your only path to return to honor. But you stayed, you hoped, and you trusted, and when the sky cleared and light broke through... you were standing in that light wounded and battered- but here. You are, each and everyone of you Of the Wave Maiden! You are crew! That may change, but through no dishonor, but choice. You are Clan, you are one with us! You don't break faith with us? We'll not with you! " She holds a fist straight up "We hold to the Code of of our Kith! We hold to the honor of our way! And we hold to the hope of tomorrow! All who would accept this offer, cry Huzzah!"

Huzzahs break out!

the skald, Tove-Vater, mutters something to his daughter, a grin on his face between Huzzahs

There's no doubt in Siv's mind that this woman is destined to be a Chieftain someday. She cannot resist crying, "Huzzah!" with the rest of them.

Clem wipes her brow and smiles "Then Thyle or Concordian, dishonored and seeking redemption, or with honor shining bright already, sworn to cause or other, or none... we are all one here. Orders of work and guard shifts and the like will be issued out by senior officers of the crew. For now, get to know each other folks. We're gonna want to know the faces we count on, trust me."

Apparently that is done.

She murmurs to Frank, "Look how they begin to revive. They have hope." A grin. "She is good."

Clem walks past McCormick, "that's how we do it in Iowa."//He grins, "If I were 20 years younger..." //Rather than Blush Clem lifts her chin, "If you were 20 years younger, first thing you'd have to do is get in line." And walks off to organize folks.

Siv doesn't quite manage to stifle the burst of laughter at overhearing that.

Bova of the Storm leaves her sister to handing out some food and then joins Siv and Frank, commenting on Clem, "Every once in awhile she reminds me why my lodge elders listened to her."

Frank nods.

"I can see that," Siv nods. "She is powerful."

"Yup. Of course, she was really nervous getting on this journey...because Chieftain Brekke intimidated her" The warrioress smirks "She was worried she'd walk into a low yard arm"

Siv looks surprised...but not too surprised. "She should not be worried."

"Glad she's here to lead us." Frank rumbles.

Bova claps him on the shoulder, and nods. "Now I guess we wait. I'll take first perimeter patrol"

"Bova, who among the newcomers do you think most need support?"

"Want a shore patrol too."

Siv looks at him, then nods. "I will patrol with you."

"Tove's father has Tove. I think he'll be fine. Dosh looks rough. I honestly thought 'he' might bolt, but he stayed. But he's as weak as a kitten pooka. I on't know what oath he broke, but it broke him."

"Okay. " She's not about to argue with more patrols

"Pair them up." A suggestion. "Newcomers and original crew."

"Good idea. They will learn of each other."

Bova frowns, "I hate that idea, which my sister would say means it's a good one. Fine."

"Hm." A slightly amused sound at Bova's comment. "I will expect the Worldshield to issue redemption challenges as soon as possible."

And the Mountain's wisdom proves wise. While the Oathbrokeen do not have it easy, they rise to the challenge of facing their new crew mates, and have earned some respect by not running. It is possible the HIgh chieftain made a BIG mistake and accidentally helped them. Yes, respect is growing, and team work starting. There are no attacks on the patrols, and even Frank eventually sleeps. He dreams of manythings.... Brekke sleeps, and she has Brekke Dreams! Yet both see Siv in their dreams too, a ghost of what might have been if the two of them had ever...

The morning sounds wake them

Siv has slept close to Frank, but...not close to Frank. The transformation makes that too strange. But the Brekke-dreams are reassuring. She rises and sets about morning ship-chores, though with so many hands on the ship, there's not much that needs doing.

Indeed, if there's any complaint, it's that it's too crowded! And getting more so.

"Ahoy the ship?"

Siv looks to the shore. "Ahoy, who calls?"

A pause, "Me?"

"It's a pooka, miss. He.. has a piece of paper that explains more."

Indeed, whens he looks, she can see a ram pooka, a burly fellow whose horns help even the height gapbetween him and trolls

And the morning patrol is reading a paper

"Let me see the paper." She gives the pooka a cautious look as she comes down from the deck to shore.

they do, and it reads This is recognition that Dodger has served his time as a thrall, and is hereby free of service and servitude. He may join any lodge that will accept him. His crimes are absolved, and paid for by dint of hard work and toil. Signed this day Chief Bramlok

there is a of a former thrall collar now removed. That wool really holds a ring.

She looks at the paper, and then at the ram...and is quiet for a long moment. "What is it you want of us?"
