Zara hisses. "Thou shalt not have her!" A whisper, as the nondescript girl pales even more - white as ash and bone and paper, thin as a reed.

"An Eshu? Can you help them get to safety?" "As long as my glamour lasts.. yes.. I owe you a life debt" "May we live long enough to repay such things. For now, take them.. take them and go"

Boots... stomping, an iron eagle of hate rising...

Neither kithain a jew, both moving to save them .. and others... the Eshu runs.. the sluagh hides

"Not in this home. You are powerless. You are clowns." Flinging nicknames.

The Eshu, for that is what she is, has drawn a chimerial dagger, curved and ornate and she flings herself at a nazi chimera "I will cut out your hateful tongues!!" Fear is in her eyes, but her kiths' recklessness is also fresh and unstrung!

Zara weakens the chimera, making them easy targets for the fledge's blade.

And Zara's power? Oh... she withers them with powerless names... she renders them clumsy as the clowns they'd mock...

the young fledge cuts and slices, even as flames and smoke and gas try to rise...

ANd, of course, chimerical or not, this triggers the wards in and about the house

which of course, includes flame retardants, and Nazi repellent!

Nocker devices, installed long ago, kick in

For a moment, Tziporah comes the modern world in her sensibilities "What's THAT?" As a GARISH yellow tartan cloth drifts down, scoops into bag form, and then begins to blow the chimerical gas smoke and fire out the window where it can harm none...

As for the Nazis? Shurikien launch from the the walls, throwing stars that are launched by devices rather than thrown, and each star with six points, music blares, somehow focused on individuals... probably so it doesn't break Zara's ear drums! Pretty sure Ratchet didn't pick that music....

The Eshu stabs another "No seriously, what IS this?"

"Ah... well.. let us win, and then we shall discuss."

Zara is not a fighter, and it is quickly evident... but the wards and Tziporah are doing quite well.

And Tziporah seems surprised at how well she's doing... and. well, the traps and wards work VERY Well at helping reduce Nazi numbers

The music has changed.. mocking.. and cutting.. severing some nazi chimera in half...

Then the Last Nazi Chimera goes down.. the flames gone, the gas.. ..

and.. then the last of the nazi bits is shot out as well

not a drop of blood left, not so much as polish stains from a jack boot

"Oy gevalt." Zara plops down to sit on the bed.

"I remember you you were.. but that makes no sense. I wasn't alive during world war two.. .. oy, i've got a knife!" She drops her curve dagger

Glamour flows all over the house still... it smells like defiance and liberation... and kugels

"Not all of you was alive then, no. Half. I remember you, too. Da'an has a sense of humor, a'times."

Statacco rapping at the front door, and sound of a key in the lock, and ..... bickering. Bickering Forte.

Zara still looks ghastly thin, and her soft voice is surely a whisper.

"Oy. The tsuris is here." Wasn't that this tsuris? With the Nazis and the smoke?

"Are you.. sick?" the Eshu says

"Nay.... I am myself. Have another cookie, thou shalt require fortification."

"I'm starting to wonder if something is IN those cookies besides cocoanut"

but she eats antoher

"Please come in? " She says at the door

That one appears to be merely coconut.

(The downstairs front door; by now, the bickering is.... oh so very familiar.....)

"Oh wow.. they knocked so loud I thought it was..."

"I did mention mine Uncles..."

The sound grows closer, kvetching back and forth.

Zara opens the bedroom door. "Hehe? Ratchet?"

"Zara?!?!" It's Ratchet alone; apparently he can fight with Hirim even when they are seperated. "Are you ok, what happened?" He's armed with some kind of metal contraption that looks like a cross between a can opener, a paper shredder, and a bear trap.

"Where is Hehe?" Blink.

"There... this is Tziporrah."

"She was going to wake up soon, so I.. pushed.. a bit."

The Eshu comes out to see them, the thirteen year old girl is a wilder... but while her mortal apparel is that of a modest Jewish girl in mourning, her garb is that of..well, Romi perhaps?

"In my defense, those are my favorite cookies," Tiziporrah declares

"He's checking on your parents, if he can remember that for this long." the old nocker snorts.
