Tziporah looks about as she comes into the house "Thank you Mrs Scwhartz"

"Oh we just wish we could do more, how's the wrist?" Hannah looks at the bandaged wrist

Zara... lurks.

"Fine, the burns are .. mostly healed, well on the mend" The girl tells her

Zara lurks...which means, Zara lurks unseen. Tziporah seems to be nervous, on she tries to hold still, but her feet tap a lot, thankfully softly.

"That's good, " Hannah says "Now we have a room just for you, it's smaller than your old one... but it's very cozy"

"I'm just grateful to be out of the hosptial" Tziporah assures her "Are you sure I won't be in the way?"

"No no, now that room there is Zara's so please respect her privacy" Hannah says

"I remember Zara," Tziporah's brow knits "I think. She was always carrying a book?"

Zara follows.

"That's her," A chuckle, "My Zara's a college student now" Hannah beams "I'm very proud of her. She just turned twenty recently"

they head into the small guest bedroom that's been set up. Aaron is quite handy, and perhaps safer than the uncles, and the window has been enlarged

Waiting on the bedside table is a plate covered with coconut macaroons... Tziporah's favorites, according to Bubbe.

"Oh, how nice of you!" Tziporah moves to them "How did you know they were my favorites?"

"I... well, to be honest dear, " Hannah looks about , and then smiles, "They're not from me, but are from the family"

Even if momma doesn't see Zara, she's quick

"It reminds me of Bubbe..." The girl picks one up, "She used to make these for me whenever I was feeling sad. May I?"

"of course" A smile

There is also a collection of novels - young adult, geared for a 14 year old. Mostly classics.

This time, Hannah whispers as she notes the books "My daughter's a fine woman indeed" Too low for Tziporah to hear

Tziporah eyes the books but is already taking a bite of a macaroon

and Zara...sees something?

Zara did learn how to bake from Hannah, even if she prefers hte results after a few weeks of aging.

Brow?

For a moment, there's a jangling near the girl's ears, a wave of color among the threads of her dark head garb...then it's gone again

Her eyes narrow, and she kens.

She's a changeling! Unawake, unaware.. perhaps she was close to breaking out... before the tragedy buried it again

Zara's act of kindness mixed with her mother's has...helped in more ways than one

She holds back a hiss

Hannah has missed it.

Tziporah eats happily

bits of banality seemingly defeated

Zara frets. Tziporah has been through a great deal already...

"I'll leave you be to get settled in," Hannah smiles

"Thank you, Mrs Schwartz" the ignorant kithain to be says

And Hannah slips out of the Tizzy's new room leaving her alone...well, alone plus a sluagh

Some say who we are when alone is who we truly are - and this is the best chance to see Tziporah unawares.

She savors the macaroon, then sighs 'Not as good as Bubbe makes...made" Tears fill the girl's eyes "Come on, Tziporah. Stop it. You cried enough in the hospital..."

but even the tears seem to help with the banality. Now outside of the tragedy and hospital, tears and laughter alikeare both passions

Tears are a gift. Zara is a sluagh, and does not shun the sadder emotions.

She wipes at her eyes, and cradles her legs up to her chest, quoting lyrics from a song "Just give me a number
Instead of my name

I do not matter, I'm only one person
Destroy me completely
Then throw me away
If my life were important I would ask: "Will I live or die?"
But I know the answers lie far from this world" More of a soft cadence than the song in full

"But why did you have to take Bubbe?" She glares upward "If you had to take the rest young, surely you could have left her alone for her last few years? Now I'm alone"

Selfish hurt tears...she can be Selfish now. She's alone.

No, not selfish. Zara doesn't judge that wish.

"Wicked dreams, rebellious ones, and then.. they die." She wipes her eyes with her long dark sleeve, where the tears dampen the cloth they look more colorful, bolder, but then they return "Only, I don't feel wicked, just angry and sad and lost"

A noise from the window - something rattles?

She looks up towards the window, it's a grand one, arched and able to open now thanks to the change to it "What?"

As Tzip is distracted, Zara slips out to the hallway - closing the door silently behind her.

And so she's free to.. do what? Go where? How does she handle this?

This is VERY Inconvenient
