Later, after checking on the lump, showering... REALLY checking on the lump...and then showering again... and meets and greets and assuring folks she's safe and sound..

Siv visits Scarsdale

She's dressed nice neough, nothing fancy, but she knocks on the door hoping Zara is at her folks home

And she waits.

Zara appears momentarily. "Siv! You are yourself!"

"Aye. And .. I understand I owe you a great deal . May I come in? " She looks tempted to hug Zara

Zara nods, taking a step back to allow the troll entry. "Aye."

She enters "you have no idea what I've gone through... well, maybe you do, according to a note waiting for me in Firnost"

"I... have some. Forgive, when I had heard you were injured... I scryed upon you."

"Which is not supposed to be possible... I'm a bit boggled and a lot impressed"

"Oh, you are difficult to see!"

"And on top of that, you looked not yourself..."

"Well, that you can thank a certain Auntie Clem for. Though I admit, the whoel thing drove me Unseelie for bit." She says "Thanks to you.." She continues once they are in an area of Zara's choosing that is private enough for the sluagh's liking "I got word about the namer. Which explained so much about Janice"

"I... how so?"

"She tried to pinch a lock of hair off me. I'm sure of it now"

"I am certain she did. I saw her try. I.. ah... hexed her, just a little bit."

"You.. you're the reason she tripped?"

"I mean.. I helped her along but..." Siv blinks

"Well, you were in danger..."

"You're my friend."

"You put yourself at risk by doing all that. I know e nough of magics to know that." She says then she looks chagrinned "I'm starting to see this victory was not mine as much as I thought"

She leads back to the kitchen, and fusses about with tea.

"Honestly, it felt more risky to seek your mother. She does not care for me."

"That's not your fault," she says "You did a job for a person my mother trusts not..and it's hard for her to shake that you are not ...tied to him"

"I had to push hard before she agreed I should seek you out for aid in the first place"

She looks embarrassed, "i'm sorry if you were unfairly treated. She's a good soul truly"

"I know of her. I admire much of what I have heard. And... well, I know, also, what I am. I am a Balor-blooded unseelie witch of a spider."

"Well.. the balor blooded makes no difference to me and not sure mum knew about it. " SHe shrugs "Trust me, that is not the source of her hang up with you... and, I think after this she will be more at ease." She ponders "Twas your warning of Janice being a namer that made it possible really... gave me the plan..well, gamble and a plan but it won out. I bested the baroness, Zara. She's bound to leave me and mine alone"

"A plan? What happened?" She hurriedly pours the tea - manners losing a bit to eagerness and curiosity.

But only a bit! "Macaroons?"

"Oh yes please. SO nice to have food I don't have to worry about poison or drugs"

"Long story short? I managed to get the Baroness' true name from Janice"

"Noooo..."

"yes" a nod

"So, wait - I thought, mayhaps, Janice was collecting names FOR the Baroness..."

"Nope, turns out Janice was making a power play gathering names secretly from her betters...then going to use it to advance herself to a titled position and a small freehold. Really brillilant." A sip

"Also bad..." She says "And Villainous. Pardon, was unseelie too long"

Zara makes a face. "Naming... I am not one to say this of much, but Naming has rules."

"It is not to be abused."

"Well, she did. " Siv says "And I foiled her plans by co opting them sort of. Once I knew the Baroness name... and told her that even if I died it would get out... I was able to make her swear an oath not to intrude against my family or Rivervale"

"As for Janice? Do you know what's not brilliant?"

"What?"

"Keeping an indexed list of the true names you've collected and trusting mortal 'invisible ink' will protect it" A snort "Old pirate trick... lemon juice works fine for getting it out"

It would appear the boggan need to index and organize worked against Janice

That also indicates that the troll has a LIST of true names? or at least, parts of true names

"A list? Written DOWN?"

Aghast.

"In the neatest most precise hand writing I have ever seen in me damn life" A nod "I mean, I've seen PRETTIER writing? But for neatness? Couldn't be beat."

"Have you it?"
