Materialzing in the rented place is some coffee ready to be brewed with a note We had excess. Sent some to you. G. PS, also a tray of cranberry muffins made by the Big K herself

When Sylvi comes back from a run, she finds the care package. "Big K?" she laughs. "Oh, Mom would hate that." She sets up some coffee to brew.

It perculates and steams quite nicely. Odd, earlier there was an incident at a star bucks where a lot of folks complained at once

The aroma is reassuring after that earlier incident.

And the cranberry muffins look good

There's a knock on the door

She's just about to nibble on one of those muffins, but she puts it down to answer the door.

"Hello, sexy satyr stud delivery service." Zane says at the door

"Zane! Hey!" If his arms aren't full, she gives him a hug! "Come on in!"

They aren't and he gives her a hug back "THanks. Looking good... as usual. "

He goes in

"Thanks! You too. Hey, I've got coffee started and there's treats from the Lodge."

"Damn, Wizards really DO arrive at precisely the time they need to" Impressed with himself "Thank you . How are you and the other two?"

She laughs, setting out paper plates for the muffins. "Well, busy, but good, for me anyway. Dagmar's doing great. There's some great fae around here. Some assholes, too, but a lot of good. Symon...well...he's really, really busy, and super focused. I don't see him much, but I think he's doing okay."

"You don't see him, he'll see you" A nod "How it works. Sorry to trouble you guys, but I had a favor to ask. Relates to Rutgers"

Tromping footsteps up the stiars!

"AH, Dagmar is in I hear. Either that or Odin is really putting on weight"

Sylvi sets out another paper plate, and starts pouring the coffee for three. "A favor?"

"Yup. Wizards need minions" He says then smiles "or in this case friends . I'm looking for a book, and I think it might be at Rutgers"

A brow at minions, and she goes to get the door for Dagmar. "What kind of book," she asks over her shoulder.

"Oh, Zane! Hi!"

"Hey Sylvi. Ooo, there's coffee?"

"I was joking about the minions" He assures just in case she is offended, then turns to see Dagmar and smiles "Hey, Dagmar. Hey, hair is looking great. Anyway, I was asking if you guys would help me find a book... to fae eyes, It's a black leather volume with a silver mesh. On the cover is an open eye with spider legs jutting from it."

Brow.

"Symon's been kinda... busy..."

"Yeah, and treats from the Lodge."

"Okay, but .. you trolls are pretty darn alert. So... I'm hopeful?" He knocks on wood

"Zane, are you saying that it's a book that a Rutger's student has?"

"Ooo..." She takes a scone.

"Not sure, just that omens say it's probably on campus. It could be in the library for all I know" He says taking a coffee and cranberry muffin "mmm thanks"

"Doesn't sound like the kind of book you tend to find on the shelves in the library. Does it have a title?"

"Not on the cover, no" he says "But be careful reading it"

Brow.

"And you intend to read it?"

"What exactly is this book?"

"Yes..." Cautiously answered "And, you're not gonna use the boon are you?"

Sylvi looks at Dagmar.

She folds her arms.

"Ookay... the book is the Book of Anansi... it is believed to be an Eshu treasure , but both sluagh and Spider Pooka have claimed it in the past. It has magical properties."

Wide eyes. "I've heard of Anansi. What do you want it for?"

"It has a secret or three" Lie of understatement

Sylvi doesn't have the boon, but even she doesn't buy it. "Zane..."

"Zane, you think we want to attract angry sluagh or eshu?"

"More worried about the sluagh, to be honest...." She waggles her fingers. "Hoodoo."

"Okay, okay, it has a lot of secrets. " He says "And no I don't but you see, I don't think they have it either. Returning it will eventually get it to them I'm sure, I just need one story..from it. Something the book will know. Then I can hand it over to which ever kith or person has the best claim"

True!

Brow.

"Well...there's something about this I don't really like. And if it's already with somebody who has a good claim, then I don't really feel great about stealing it from them...but maybe we can get them to share the story?"

"Well, if you see it, let me know. I'm not asking you to steal it yourselves" True "And stop with the brow, Dagmar. I'm a wizard. I'm allowed to be a LITTLE Cryptic"
