Back home, Dagmar is labelling her tupperwares with tape and sharpie. "Sam's - DON'T TOUCH."

Sylvi notes this when she's grabbing a water bottle out of the fridge. A frown. "Hey! Sam, what's the deal with the labeling?"

"There's only so much from Tove..."

"Kayyyy...." Some kind of perverse need makes her TOUCH each one of the containers, rearranging them just slightly, before she closes the fridge door.

Harrumph!

She brings her water over the the couch and flops down, her feet saucily perched on the coffee table.

"You all good since Pennons? Not hurting or anything, right?"

"Oh, I didn't get any injuries."

"Nice," she says with an appreciative nod. "Oh, did I see Lupe? Who enchanted her?"

She shifts her weight, tensing up a little - it's subtle, but, well. Troll.

"She was there, yeah. She's doing emissary type stuff, for prodigals."

"So I guess one of the Count's people did it."

"Damn, I didn't know prodigals were going to be interested in doing that at all. I thought they were always going to be hiding from us, even more than we hide."

"I wish it had been like that when I was still Emissary. I'd have asked the Chieftain to send me. I'd love to see their...what's it...cairn? Hey, has she brought you there?"

"I've seen a caern, but not hers."

"Yeah? Where?"

"Near Silverwolf."

"That's where I got the thing." She touches her right bicep.

She blinks and sits forward, feet on the floor. "That's right...crap, you're like the Prodigal Whisperer."

"Can you tell me what it's like? The Caern you saw?"

"It feels..." She considers. "Less... less like a freehold, exactly. More like parts of the dreaming."

"There's power, but it's different. And it's not concentrated into one spot."

"Or... or Klump's Anchor?"

"Klump's what?"

Squinty look. "His... like, where he lives?"

"Like Miss Evergreen's tree?"

"Oh. Oh! Okay, that makes sense."

"I haven't seen Klump in a LONG time. He's doing okay?"

"Yeah. He's mentoring a newer Glome, so that keeps him busy."

"He's babysitting? Or...boulder-sitting, I guess?"

"Oh, hey..." She sets down her water and lies back on the couch, her legs flung over one end. "Speaking of Silverwolf before...you're heading up for their Pennons, right?"

She closes her eyes, managing not to grimace. "Yeah."

"It's gonna be good for Connor."

"Yeah. I bet you'll have fun, too. I mean, Joust Club and everything, right?" A grin.

"Oh, yeah. Joust club."

That... seems a little flat.

"Something wrong with joust club?"

Kicking her legs idly off the end of the couch.

"No?"

"Just sayin', you don't sound pumped about it at all." A pause. "You kicked ass at Bergen Pennons joust."

"That was pretty solid, yeah. I was hoping, at best, to lose to Chief."

"Tying is good for me - I've never beaten her."

A grin. "It'll be a shock when it happens, but it'll happen sometime. I mean, even Baron Kealan has won against her, some years. It's sure to happen for you. You're good."

"Dee has been practicing more than I have."

"So I might not win."

A shrug. "So? It'll still be fun."

"Yeah, probably."

"And Connor can see everybody. I won't hold him back."

"Yeah. He's safe there, now that that bitch is gone."
