"Course" Siv nods "See, that got their attention i bet"

"They did kind of the same thing in my Intro to Ed class. Only it was talk about a time where you taught somebody something. So I talked about my YouTube channel." She finishes up the donut.

"How'd they take it? They didn't see it as bragging like that Jackass in high school?"

"Well...." Sylvi hesitates. "A couple were excited, I think, because they've seen it. But I might have screwed myself over with the rest. Like, they think it's shallow." A bit of a blush.

""Well, screw them."

"YEah, What Dagmar said. I bet every girl in that class wears at least a little make up now and then"

"Yeah, I know." She grins.

She might not be entirely convinced.

"So...there's wings?"

"I have a special academic coach, because I'm scholarship. I'm supposed to meet her on Friday, after I've had a first class of everything. And yeah! Wings! They have a 'Crimson Knight" sauce so I thought to try that?"

Dagmar, trying a new food!

Siv mmms at Sylvi's less than total copulation to their reassurances, but lets it slide

"Oh, I bet that's spicy. Let's find out!"

And wing tasting commences.

Siv tries one too. She'll try anything once. And she does notice that Dagmar is trying new food. Was a time she wouldn't

It is spicy, but also sweet. Kind of a hot barbecue sauce. Tove would call it mild.

"Oh this is tame compared to your mom's stuff, still good though"

"This is yummy. Nice call!"

"I love Mom's cooking but.. she does kind of have a high standard for spicy."

She licks the sauce off her fingers. "we could get in trouble with that place so close."

"Could" A grin

"Yeah, we'll have to be careful about that," she agrees, nibbling a fry.

"I suppose I shouldn't visit with food too often, but will I be let in if I neglect that?"

Amused

"Of course, Dagmar will work it off with all the track and field stuff."

"Fall semester is less crazy, it sounds like."

Pause. "Weird, not having May and Lupe, though."

"I bet. Is the team cool? Nice?"

"Lupe is gonna visit you " A munch "I met her near work. Least she plans to"

"Mm. I dunno."

"They're nice enough."

"Well, that's good."

She takes a second donut.

"Is everything okay at Goldfinch?"

"I fear Goldfinch has much to answer for . Your mother has your dad's 'bad to the bone' song on repeat some days" A smile "Nah, it's good. They miss you, of course, But Piper is there a lot and I visit her there, and it's going smoothly"

She rolls her eyes good-naturedly at the talk of her parents. "They're so corny."

"Lil bit" She says but she smiles "Adorable though. They went out to Karokee last Friday.'

She blinks. "They did? I don't think they've done that since I was, like, ten!" A pause. "Huh."

"Well, we were covered and I think they had a blast"
