"Coming!"

The smell of donuts might get through the door

Behind her, Siv hears her name called. Sylvi is reaching the top of the stairs, carrying a bag from the University book store. "What're you doing here?"

Dagmar opens up the door.

"Delivering donuts and..." She has more than donuts, the door opens "Oh thank goodness. I thought I'd pissed you guys off" Siv grins

"Donuts? Cool! Hey, Dagmar," Sylvi says with a smile.

"Well, half of them are at the lodge but I didn't realize when I took the picture and sent it on the usual contact list I was going to torture folks, Sorry about that. "

"After you," she says to Siv, waiting to follow her through the door.

Siv goes on through .

"So she drives an hour..."

"I picked up some wings from downstairs."

Sylvi follows and puts the bag down with a thud as she closes the door. "Gotta be some pretty awesome donuts for that long a drive."

"I also got something else I realized half a set of donuts wasn't much so I also I picked up some Korean Food ala Dame Anne Marie, do not eat the stuff in the green tuper ware"

Downstairs being a six-pack-wings-pizza-sub kind of place.

"Oh, Sy's gonna be thrilled. He won't show it, but still."

"Wow. It's food-a-palooza in here!"

"Well, you like taht .. yuk yum? Wait how DO you pronounce it, Dagmar?"

"Um...I didn't bring anything. Can I pay you back for some, Dagmar, Siv?"

The donuts are.. fancy! Sylvi can see these are custom made work.

"Ffft.. no paying me anything. Consider it a friend getting an excuse to invade your new digs"

"As for Symon being thrilled, well, good. And I understand I may only receive that high praise of 'she's not a complete nuisance'"

A wink

"Yeah, but still...those look pretty fancy. They're not Mom's style...?"

"Nope" Siv says "Wouldn't be much point in bringing to the lodge first if your mom had to make them. These are from a new place called 'The Yeast Also Rises'... near Shadowpaw park"

"Hunh." She looks over the donuts, then... "Can I take this one?" Glazed and apparently then dipped in fruity pebbles!

Sylvi grins. "I love that they call it that."

"Sure, take anyone you want guys unless you want to duel between yourselves"

A smile "If you do , I watch"

"All yours!" she says to Dagmar. "I'm having this one..." It's covered with candy daisies.

"That one's pretty."

"Man, after today, I need this." CHOMP.

She closes her eyes, enjoying the sugar rush.

"I love the name too, Sylvi. Baker is a dreamer named Hemmingway, can you believe it? "

A look to Dagmar "Rough day?"

"Hemmingway? Huh. I read Old Man and the Sea for a class, but I don't know a lot about the author besides that. Are you musing him?"

Then to Dagmar, "Was it bad?"

She takes a bite of her donut...and then another one. "Mmmm!"

"First day of classes. And.. um." She frowns. "No? Probably not?"

"Probably normal."

"Who ever is musing him it's not me, but if it makes donuts like this, more power to him or her"

She nods to Dagmar. "Yeah, still, first day. It was draining, right? I wonder if it stays like that, or gets better. Or gets worse."

"Well, you'll get the rhtym of it, all of you I'm sure" Siv nods "Part of it is probably just figuring out the pacing for yourselves. Course, thats GED girl talking but the three of you got this"

"GED girl is hopefully right."

"Well, anthropology she just went over the syllabus. But in Expository Writing we had to TALK, in front of EVERYONE, and give a 'fun fact' about ourselves as a so-called icebreaker."

Sylvi grins. "What did you say?"

"Oh that is one area that tempts the right of ignorance 'Fun fact, I could flip your prius like a tiddlywink, wanna see?"

Sylvi laughs.

"Well, I did say I could hurl a bowling ball fifteen yards."

"Nice!"

"It's much more awkward than a shot. I can throw further without mortals watching, of course."
