She nods. "Siv was tailing one, last I heard."

"Extra zing?" Kerri gives Lucia a curious look.

"It's true, on the chimerical side anyway, we seem to be cooking a bit better since you took over, and we're already good. I think your influence might be a factor. Like how we get more rain when Count Hemlock feels mopey?"

A blink. "Oh! Well...good!" The news seems to surprise her, and then she realizes it shouldn't. "What a nice impact to have!"

A sound in the kitchen

The sound of a husband trying to snitch the food being saved for tomorrow!

"It is," Lucia says, then watches as the Chief goes off to deal with kitchen snitching

"....Seriously, something up?"

SHe looks at Dagmar "Well, I was just telling the Chief my parents have played the 'as long as you're under our roof card' . They think I should quit working as a representative for Rivervale and it was time to do 'work of substance'... and by that they mean the restaurant. I Thought I Had SOLVED this" Frustration and fluffed wings

Brow.

"Um. You're a wilder and over 18. That's an adult in both our worlds."

"I know that and you know that, but' She shrugs "They are right they dont' owe me a roof anymore so.. here I am until I find another place."

She scowls.

"That's bullshit."

"They didn't kicck me out so much as I left rather than deal with their ultimatium"

"You deserve better than that." Blunt and forcefully earnest.

"So - we need to find a place for you to stay long term. Okay."

Lucia smiles a bit at this sign of support "And I'm getting it. Here. The Chief is very understanding"

"Kerri is amazing, yeah. You might be able to find a roommate. I'm guessing you need a new job, too?"

"Oh, I get a slight stipend for my duty at the court, but not enough. I suppose... Well, obviously I don't want to do resturant stuff. "

"I hope I don't sound like a snob saying that"

"I could talk to Jaymes? At least for the short-term."

"Could you?" She perks "It's good honest work and different enough I won't feel like my parents won"

She nods. "Totally. And my dad knows you."

"Your dad is pretty cool. He's got like ice in his veins but also a big heart"

"Oh, he's plenty warm. Just, y'know, trollface."

She does her own version, all stony and stoic.

A smirk "Well, Itallian American boggans are ALL out there sometimes"

"I mean, I can put on a fake smile most would fall for, part of the job, but total poker face your dad is GOOD"

"Watch for the little beard twitch."

"Ah, he has the same laugh as your Uncle Frank" A nod

"Must be a King trait."

"So is a big heart, and you've got that too" She nods "I suppose I could check out the appartment complex. They're a bit wilder than I am bt I know folks there"

"Maybe not everyone wants something that wild?"

"There's the new Troll..."

"Rowan? I.. thought you didn't like them?"

She siiighs.

"I don't like them. But. But you aren't me."

"They seem like they would be fine as a roommate, they're also trying to scrape by, and... hell, they couldn't get up to shady shit under a boggan's eye. If they are doing shady shit. I don't know. It's hard when I'm away at school so much."

"You... want me to ask them if they wnat a roomie so I can keep an eye on them?" Curious tilt

"I want you to ask them to be a roomie because you need a safe place to be, that you can afford, and with someone that ain't banal or too wild like most of the apartment crew."

"My worried feelings about them are... feelings. And, I dunno, we've been getting along better?"

"Oh, I'm glad to hear it" She nods "It was a bit tense in the restaurant that night. Glad things are smoothing out"

"If they were a sluagh, or an EIluned, that'd be one thing..."

She huffs. "Yeah. And my Unseelie side gets tetchy."

"Oh, yeah, that's true. But you direct it well"

"I'll ask them" She considers "Maybe they're looking to cut costs and wouldn't mind"

"Not sure who else might be a good fit, is all."
