And that's the moment when Sylvi arrives, with whichever Goldfinch people wanted to attend but weren't already here. "Sorry we're late!" she says.

Lil Odin soon has the now older cat busy

"Freeholder," says her mother, "would your contingent be satisfied with a 'kids table'? The rest are full!" She nods to Brogan to bring out the birds!

Brogan nods and goes out to get the turkey

Sylvi laughs and says, "Serves me right for making us late. Sounds fine." She claims a seat at one of the folding tables and settles in, waiting her turn for a plate.

Olgar moves to his daughter, and gives her a quick hug, "Thanks for making it. We know you get busy"

Sylvi hugs her dad back. "Had to help the kids who borrowed instruments for the parade. There was some confusion about whose clarinet was whose. Man, this place smells AWESOME." She inhales. "And you smell like smoke. Pit fired the big bird?"

Piper is happily filling her plate with sides. “Carbs, glorious carbs!” She sings.

There are certainly ENOUGH sides to make a vegetarian fat and happy.

"Yup" Olgar grins

"You have to try Dagmar's potato Salad, Piper" Gerd calls out

"Oh, I am SO hungry now!" Sylvi says, rubbing her hands together.

It takes time, but the newcomers get their food too.

Franki and Valr are happily making a mess- the little girl smashing handfuls of mashed potatoes around and through her hair, and Valr chewing on a turkey leg that is nearly as big as his head- but he wails is anyone tries to take it away.

After all, he has a scattering of new teeth to use! just ask Piper about that.

Connor is sitting next to Dagmar and pokes at his turkey a bit.

Some new sides, too - Tove's curry sweet potatoes, Dagmar's butternut & Brussels roast, southern-style greens, Mac and cheese...

Piper is not alone in dealing with Teeth, as Siv can attest. Both ladies might shoot jonas a look as he won't use the moobulator.. the coward

"You okay, Short-Stack?"

“Yes?” He fidgets a bit. “I’m here and not up North. That’s okay, right?”

She hesitates. "I'm glad you're here. But. Um. I could drive you home? If you wanted?"

“I am home!” He says, “but that’s.. also, too?” He looks conflicted.

"I mean, sure. They're both home."

Kerri notices the concern between Dagmar and Connor and tries to catch Dagmar's eye, mouthing everything okay?

“Is that okay?” Gazing trustingly up at his Knight.

A nod to Kerri.

Lily whispers to Symon "Gerd can take her little brother north quick , how do we tell them they can have both?"

"Of course it's okay. I'm really glad things are good with you and your dad these days. And Silverwolf are good people."

Symon smiles to Lily, whispering to his sometimes mentee, “tell him to meet them for Dessert. We have the edge here with the Emu, but I’ve heard that their chef does pies that would even give Kerri a run for her money.”

He does not, of course, say this in Kerri’s earshot.

Kerri might sense a brief guttering of the balefire as somebody commits sacrilege within the Lodge...but it's momentary, and she might have imagined it.

The little girl nods, and taking a breath before going down to whisper in Connor's ear despite the noise herself

'Get your big sister Gerd to flash you north for Dessert, silly' Whisper whisper

He gasps, then ventures… “DOUBLE dessert?”

Which Dagmar will hear.

A quiet grin.

Thus reassured, he tucks into the meal with gusto!

Lily nods, then clutching her ears retreats to the rafters.. and there better be room up there!

There are, of course, many pies.

Symon slides aside.

DOUBLE DESSERT

Kerri beckons Brogan closer and reminds him there are tupperwares with sluagh-friendly feast food in the kitchen...he should deliver them to the rafter-folk.

"Of course" Brogan nods, and whispers "We'll do you proud, Hearth. " Using the tile that well, probably she feels comfortable with when it comes to holidays and he goes to make it so

Lily whispers "Brogan is tolerable... for a sidhe" A nod "Don't bother to drop spiders down there. Swilla will just eat them" A sigh

Kerri gives him a grateful grin. She knows she can count on him and the others.

“Waste of good spiders.” symon agrees
