Layne is happy to give Goldie a ride, as the two talk waiting for 'the big meal' "Yeah, it's hard... they don't understand where my phobia came from. It's like I've changed. I'm happier, but it's still odd for them. So I have to lie to them and make up excuses. It's hard."

Goldie holds tight, yelling "Wheee" then says "But what if my mom and dad don't love me or think I'm an alien or hate me or I can never go back because the ignorant rite?"

Layne can't really help but answer "We'll find a way, you know who these people are? This is RIVERVALE... it has SO many heroes, they actually had some step aside just to make room. We got some of the best, and they know this guy, Emmit, and he can help you.. he's a namer. If he can't bewitch your parents to forget about your lack of aging no one can."

"You sure?"

"Yeah, I am. Also there's Buck. He's a centaur like me. He's just darn nice, and he's in LOVVEE with the Chief there.." Layne adds "I'll put in a good word that you need extra care. Honest"

"Thank you, I'll remember you when the great pooka take ov er begins" Goldie says

"OUT LETS" Gutter snaps, then pauses "You know an Outlet?"

"YUP. Sure do. Foster family nearby has abusive parents. Let's go enchant em and beat em up. It'll be fun."

"You don't know how to pronounce Outlet but you know what a Guru is?" Gutter laughs, "YOu're fat and dumb"

"Yeah, but you're just ugly and I can eventually lose weight and LEARN..." She flilpss him off.

Then runs like hell. Gutter snarls and chases... but as she's leading him to foster parents that deserve it, well, he'll find better targets soon.

"I..." The Eshu is not sure what to say "Why are you doing this?"

"you need jokes to incorporate in your stories for when you travel" Otto says

"I hate to tell you this, lad, these aren't good jokes" He says

"I didn't say you had to tell good stories," Otto assures and wags.

THAT Makes the Eshu laugh.

And then there's Ylva

"What the furk do you want kid?" Otho the nocker says as he's followed by a troll.

"Well, sir, I thought I might offer to assist you in any crafts you're doing, to make you feel welcome" She says

"SIR? I'm not a knight, I WORK for a living!" Otho snorts.

Ylva looks heavenward for SOME form of Da'an inspired help, then says "I ..meant it, with respect, but will try not to use it if it offends you."

"YHou don't even know me, you always respect complete strangers?" Otho has gotten some gear out, materials for new suction cup devices.

"It's JUST being nice, s... Mister Otho." Ylva asserts, "And I'm supposed to respect my..." She catcches herself, she almost said Elders. Wilders hate that. Everyone hates that. Don't say Elders, don't say Elders "Our guests."

"Yeah, what if the guest is an kolboynick klutz?" The Nocker challenges

"Then I guess I'll clean up after him ... RESPECTFULLY" Ylva tries Layne's advise and SMILES. It probably looks more like a wolf trying to be nice to a particularly honery goose

"So if I drop stuff, you'll pick it up, wait hand and foot, and be all NICE about it?" he takes an object and dangles it over the ground.

I promised Connor I'd try hard Ylva reminds herself, then she says "I would try to help you. I want you to feel welcome"

Otho asks "WHY?"

"DUTY" She says.

"You have a duty to be nice to me? Who put you up to THAT sotbrained splut of an idea?"

"A friend." She says

"A friend who is trying to teach me to be better to people, even obnoxious ones" Ylva states

Then realizes she probably shouldn't have said that last part.

"Well you're friend is a moron, a sacchrine little twit to be sure" Otho advises.

"Opinions VARY," Ylva says through gritted teeth

"Sounds like he wants you to be a doormat," Otho informs her.

"He never said that, it's just I've hurt feelings. I am trying NOT To hurt ... "

Otho drops the object on the ground "There you go, pick it up"

Ylva's explanation dies on her lips

Then she says "You dropped that." She says and points.
