Another vehicle pulls up, and Tig comes out to open the passenger door

Rowan's already opening the door and getting out before Tig can get there.

There's no missing TWO trolls already inside.

Tig looks over "Hey, Dagmar, Gerd, how goes? This is Rowan"

Dag is in "casual" voile - tunic, trews, winnegas. No armor.

Amber eyes take in the stranger. Upnod. "Hey."

Gerd is dressed in a kind of dark blue goth gear

"Hey," Rowan says at almost the same time.

"Hey" Gerd nods "I'm Gerd, that's Dagmar." Just to keep it straight

Military jacket, black jeans, Doc Martins, and dark-red round-framed shades. They look around at the Lodge. "Nice place."

A slight head tilt. Her hair is neatly locked down in protective braids. "I like it well enough."

A little flicker of recognition at both names. "Gerd and Dagmar. Got it. What do you do here?"

"Not exactly a Thane, since I'm away during the week for school. We call it Bolt of the Storm for..." Handwave "Martial Assistant."

"Right now? We're hitting an Italian resturant... the food inside is great, I know, I help with it, but we just wanted a break" Then a smile "Flame of the Hearth"

A little dubious twist of expression at 'martial assistant.'

"I help with the horses, too." A nod to indicate the stables.

Tig has gone inside, then comes out annoyed "Okay, the Mountain is NOT in. "

"That's a problem?" Rowan asks Tig.

"Well, I mean, Storm is defense. I do patrols, I do anything that falls under protection of the lodge, the land, or the people."

"Trust me, dear god, you don't want me in charge of Mountain stuff."

"Sounds Thane to me, but okay," Rowan says to Dagmar, nodding acceptance.

"Well, I guess not except he wanted to meet you when I picked you up" Tig says "Sorry, Rowan. If you want to wait a bit he'll be back in an hour"

"Fah," Gerd says "Rowan, you want to come with us to that restaurant?"

"Yeah, except I'm not a thane like Tig or Lut. Because of school. Can't do it proper right now."

"Well, you hear stories about pizza in this area, so sure. Lead the way."

A small crease between her eyebrows.

"So few can" Tig says dryly "See you later, Rowan. It was nice meeting you"

"Likewise, Tig." Rowan notes Dagmar's expression. "Okay with you if I come along?"

"Sure. Gerd's driving."

Rowan's still got their duffel bag, and seems ready to carry it along to the pizza place.

"Just got my driver's license last week so... if you have a religion of some sort, feel free to pray" Gerd says getting into the lime green tahoe

A nod at the duffel. "You staying at the Lodge? If not, we can stash it in the trunk - right Gerd?"

"Fine by me either way" She says "Lodge doesn't turn many aside"

"Haven't worked out the details of where I'm staying, so let's take it with for now. As for the driving, I've got pretty strong nerves, no worries."

"I dunno, I've been flicker-flashed by her. So, travelling, three days should be a gimme. I can check with my parents if you need to crash somewhere that doesn't have a Fire."

"Your parents? They cool with..." A vague gesture at the Lodge and the group of them. "...all this?"

"They're trolls." A pause. "I'm adopted."

Once they're all in, the car starts up. "And mine are dead"

"Oh, got it, that makes sense," to Dagmar, then "That sucks," to Gerd.

Happy to take the backseat.

"Yeah. After becoming myself, staying with regular humans didn't work out so well anymore. But Mom and Dad are cool. And CJ loves everyone."

"Happened a long time ago, but yeah, it still sucks. " Gerd says "So Rowan, what brings you to our area, you got family around here?"

"CJ?"

"My little brother. He's four!"

"Closer to five now I think geez"

"Word got around about a lodge looking for trolls. You hear about Rivervale, y'know? So I figured...check it out."

"Five in May." A soft smile fills in.

"Little kids are basically runny noses with legs," Rowan says decisively.

"Oh, yeah, I heard about the call. We've got a lot to defend."

"Oh cool, the recruiting drive worked. I mean we got one or two but... mostly it's Squire Valter, he's a grump, and Ylva. She's... a childling and is a hard worker"
