Gerd grunts the affirmative

Gerd looks about "Ok... I.. oh" A surprised look. Swilla is approaching

"Mmph."

Swilla walks up "Gerd? " The girl says "I know I work for you guys now but I'm running out of chores. And no, I never thought I'd say that"

Gerd raises a brow "YOu are?"

"Yeah, others are doing them so can I just go play?"

"Did you Tom Sawyer them?" Not accusatory, more curious.

"Tom who?" Swilla blinks

"It means to get someone else to do your work for you by tricking them into thinking it is more fun that it might really be" Gerd explains

"COOL. I got to try that" Swilla says eagerly, then she says "But nope. They were doing it all on their own"

"And they were?" Gerd cuts to the chase

"Ylva, though Cleo was helping... " Swilla shrugs then says "But I don't want to be in trouble just because they beat me to my jobs"

"You're not in trouble."

"Whew. Thanks" Swilla says "THAT would suck. This is the best punishment I ever got. SO much food.. and connor's so nice I worry he's gonna get punched by some jackhole,. others ain't bad I guess." he looks at Dagmar "The Chief's one cool bitch. I like her"

"Chief Kerri is pretty cool, yeah."

"Connor is pretty savvy, though - don't underestimate him. He's my squire."

"Easy on the B word though" Gerd says "You mean it well but..."

"Oh yeah, Connor talks about you all the time" Swilla says to Dagmar "He says you can out joust, out yeet, and out tall anyone.." Then she sighs at Gerd's comment "Right right. Dont worry, I won't pull a Ylva."

Gerd looks at Dagmar and grunts ("Well, you were right that Cleo was involved. Not sure why Ylva is going whole hog though")

"...Pull a Ylva?"

"Yeah, you know, find that way to piss off everyone you meet when you don't mean to. I try to make sure I do it on purpose" A nod as if this is the ethically superior tact, "It's like I told her.... Either you are or you aint a bitch. Ya might not mean to be, but that don't mean folks are gonna put up with it... they got a right to call it out" Swilla pauses "I called HER a bitch, and she ruined it by thanking me." A sigh "Guess between me and the Mountain she got some stupid life lesson...she wants to apologize to you... and said she wasn't good with words and I was like 'so how are you gonna apologize

if you can't talk, stupidd' and then she got this weird LOOK, her jaw set and her brow seemed to get ..trollier?"

Gerd blinks "Trollier?"

"Yeah you guys do this THING...with your brow, it's weird. It's..trrolly" Swilla says

Gerd raises a brow, then looks at Dagmar , ("Trollier?")

Dagmar exhales through her nose, jaw tense.

"You're kind of doing it now only not the nose thing" Swilla answers

"Swilla, go play. If the work is done, go have fun" A pause "No eating anyone or anything that isn't yours and try not to bully anyone."

"So much for PLAYING" Swilla grumbles and walks off

Gerd watches her go "I will never fully understand redcaps"

She shrugs. "Me neither, but she seems happy enough."

"She's on guard. SO... Ylva is behind this cleaning frenzy... because she wants to apologize to you. " Gerd looks over at Dagmar "I noticed the tense jaw. You okay?"

"I'm fine."

"I just don't want more drama."

Gerd considers, then nods "I can't blame anyone for that. Swilla apparently got her to see the light and now Ylva doesn't WANT to be a bitch. Not sure she's apologizing right, but there you go" A shrug "You want to go out and have a pizza or something? I think with so much done a little time away from the new drama queens of the hold might do us BOTH some good. "

"Or Thai. I know a place that does Thai"

She ponders "What am I saying, I can flicker flash to New ORleans... you want gumbo I can set you up"

"Pizza is fine."

"Werewolf place or Luisa's mom's itallian place? " SHe rubs her own horns "I need a break from the lodge even mroe than you do"

"or maybe you don't at all, but I appreciate you coming along"

"Mm. Lucia's mom's."

"They do the cheesy bread."

"Then let's go" She grins "Flicker flash or borrow the car? I got my liescence"

"No way? Then you gotta drive."

A grin and blush "I don't even NEED a car you know? But it's cool to have the choice... also, Tiffany let me drive hers when she's on duty at the firehouse. Come on" She leads her to Tiffanys's car which is parked at the lodge. It's Chevrolet Tahoe in a truly horid lime green , lots of head room though "You have to wonder if she really IS color blind"

"It's sure green."

The bumper stickers include one that says "Adults on Board, we want to live too!" and "Watch out for the idiot behind me" also a "Coexist, and under that 'or else!"

"Yup. Wonder if I can talk her into a new paint job" They get inside, there IS lots of head room
