"Start questing," Sylvi says decisively. "With or without Symon. Do stuff out there that matters."

She chews on the corner of her bottom lip.

"It's a way to make a difference."

Then she stops. "Sorry. I don't mean to be telling you what to do."

"No, It's okay."

"I mean, I unloaded all my drama on you without even buying you dinner."

A laugh.

"Hey...what about the Knights of the Way? Dad's always looking for new recruits."

"Or would that be too close to home?"

"Wouldn't I have to give up school?"

"And I mean, sometimes I want to. But it'd be dumb to throw away the chance I have at a degree. It matters, having one."

A shrug. "Have to ask Dad about that."

"It does, yeah."

She sighs. "Again, sorry for all the griping."

"Do you see me complaining about it?"

"You hungry? Your mom made pie."

"Ooh! That's a magic phrase. Let's head back."

As it has been determined that Dagmar feels she owes a dinner.... the two head off to enjoy pie
