"Okay, we have to keep the new Piskey" Siv declares to the room "She's one of the cheapest and more agreeable baby sitters arou..." Siv looks about the lodge not seeing anyone

"Well," SHe says to the open air, " She is. Where the hell is everyone? I finally get some free time only to have Jonas at work and Piper giving music lessons, and all's empty on the lodge front?"

"Here" A voice from the corner

Siv turns over and sees Ylva "Ah, who might you be?"

The childling is cleaning up, and straightens her back "My name is Ylva. I'm here because the lodge is in danger of being Undertrolled" She notices the Fiona colors and looks a bit cautious but only a bit. Siv IS a troll after all, "You must be Dame Siv?"

"Lady Captain Siv Waveborne," Siv bows with a flourish, "And I am at that. I'd knew they'd sent out word , but didn't realize it had taken."

"Well, some others came by but the neo nazi got frozen and shipped off, and I think another troll decided to see if guards weere needed at Caer Falken"

Siv snorts at the Neo Nazi "Aye, well, the first being shipped off does not surprise me. So... have yet met the Chief?"

"No Ma'am," The girl says.

Siv blinks "Pardon?"

"Uhm, no ma'am Lady Captain?" Ylva says "I've seen her passing by but she's been busy a lot so I didn't press. The Hearth has been great though."

Siv blinks again, "It's not the lady captain part I was a fuss about, call me Siv if you like .. it's the Ma'am. I'm not a grump"

"No, Ma'am, you're not," Ylva agrees wondering why this wilder is stating the obvious.

"I mean, I AM a mother of two, not the only mother and Piper did the heavy lifting but... " Siv isn't sure how to explain

"Congratulations, Ma'am" Says the Childling troll to the Wilder, mother of two

"thank you" Siv says drily and glances at the reflective surface of a table. Crows feet? No. Gray hair? none she sees.

Siv ahems. She has to remember, some folks from Grass and Willows still use such things , but good gracious, "Well, you'll find this is a grand place to work and serve if they take you in. Why many an adventure I've had with this as me home port."

"That's what I'm hoping," Ylva says "For service and adventure. When was your last one?"

"My last adventure was..." Siv stops "Well... uhm.. there were the babies... which had some challenges."

"Yes Ma'am" Ylva nods "But... when was your last quest or adventure?"

Siv opens her mouth, then closes it again, "Well, adventures don't happen every day."

"But they do, I mean, I don't know the whole story but Dame Dagmar had one. She rested here to recover."

Siv tilts her head "She DID?"

"Her and some sluagh friend, they're oathed, I think, Sylvi would have been here but went straight to goldfinch after tagging along so she missed the pizza," Ylva says, then wonders if she's being TOO chatty. She decides Siv IS a troll and elders shouldn't be given the silent treatment "And it was apparently quite dangerous but rewarding thing."

"I... didn't know," Siv confesses, "Glad they're okay." She adds a bit numbly.

"That's sweet of you, Ma'am. I'll tell Dame Dagmar if she drops by later that you said so. Should I tell her how you're doing in your retirement?"

"My RETIREMENT?" Siv doesn't mean to raise her voice

Ylva is confused, "Well, I mean, I know domestic work and childrearing IS important so.. be proud, but I..."

"I have to go," Siv says fighting the urge to shake the younger troll if she says Ma'am again.

"Are you sure? Hearth Kerri left some left over food and I can set you on the porch with a small table, and you feel the sun... Iced tea is lovely and..." Ylva is eager to please "Well Ma'am, it might sooth you, you seem distressed."

"Oh I'm GONE" The Fiona says and starts to leave.

"Should I tell anyone that asks about your visit where you are if they wanted to talk to you?" Ylva was told by the mountain to see if folks needed to leave messages.

"I'll either be fighting a sea monster, or CALCIFYING" Siv snaps a bit and closes the door behind her loudly as she leaves.

"Wow, she seemed nice, then got kind of cranky" Ylva looks at Signe, the Chief's dog, "I thought older people LIKED Ice tea on the porch." She sighs and goes back to cleaning.
