When Dagmar awakes, she smells breakfast, but not Kerri's usual fair, rather it smells like.. Tove food? Mom is here

As is dad. Jaymes looks tired, but he's watching her wake up

The bird is about, watching the pair from its roost in the rafters.

"Daughter?" Jaymes says gently

If he notices the bird he pays it no mind.

"Easy Jaymes, she's had a busy night"

That from Tove peeking out of the kitchen

"Five minutes..." Like a school day.

Jaymes says dead pan "You said that five minutes ago"

She did not!

"Hey!" She sits up, blinking and glaring.

Her father's expression is stoic, but his eyes twinkle with a bit of fatherly humor "Perhaps I'm wrong. Morning, little thunder"

Klump also calls her that sometimes. Both Klump and Dad seeems to think it fits

"Morning, Dad. Mom." She rubs at her eyes, but is quick to get out of the cot and neatly break down the sleeping area.

"You should have slept on their couch, honey, it's bigger and they wouldn't mind" Her mother says "You had a busy day so your choice, omelet ala king, or waffles? I've got both ready"

"You didn't need to come out here."

"We wanted to" Jaymes admits, "I know you're strong, and smart, but sometimes grumps worry."

"Particularly parents" Tove nods "And we were curious on top of it."

"It's... a whole thing. Not bad in the end." She scratches her scalp. "Waffles?" Hopeful lilt.

"Waffles it is" Her mom smiles "Thankfully the Hearth has plenty of your favorite syrup handy." She nods and leaves the door to the kitchen open so she can chat while she works "Symon is okay?"

"Symon's okay. He's home. How much have you heard?"

"The Mountain said that somethings would be considered private by one or both parties" Jaymes says, a touch of a frown at having the Mountain delay answers, "And that you would tell us what you felt was right for us to know. He said you were successful, and that it was dangerous to all involved but somehow it seemed most had come out of it better than before. He said you migyht have good news for us on top of that."

Her mom peeks out "And I told your dad about you breaking the treasure. Sorry but.. your father IS my trueheart AND your dad"

She chews on a hangnail and nods.

Her mom sets down some waffles at the table for her and her daughter. Jaymes, it seems, went for the omelet

"There was more fallout from that, things got kinda hairy, but they're mostly fixed. Vali and Chief both think a Dreaming quest to find a lost treasure might help restore balance."

Jaymes nods "That's good. The dreaming has been taken from, even with good cause, it's good to give back to make amends. " He looks at Dagmar "I know you, you wouldn't do that unless you felt you had no other choice at the time. So no lectures from me about treasures being special or using our might responsibly... you do the latter better than any other wilder I know. "

"The more strength you have, the more careful you have to be." Cutting up her waffles.

"Symon and I took an oath to each other."

Her mom gawks then smiles wolfishly

Her father looks surprised too, "I did think Symon was the sort to oath. For that matter, which Oath was it, Guardianship, True hearts? " The last said more cautiously

"We made our own. We're partners, yeah?"

"Two halves."

"That's interesting " Her mother says "Tailor made? Maybe it needed to be"

"Does it make you happy?" her father says after thinking over this non traditional approach

She nods.

"The words come a bit from Clasped Hands, and from Truehearts, but... "

"Neither of those quite fit."

"This fits."

"Then this is all good news" Her mother smiles and takes a bit of her own waffle

"Well, the ending is" Jaymes says then looks at his daughter "I'm very curious about the details, we both are. But I am glad for you and Symon. " A beat "If he breaks your heart again, I will be...cross."

"Please don't make any shovel speeches, Dad."

"No, you'll be helping me dig the hole... Olgar gave ME a speech about respecting your own agency" Jaymes says deadpan

"Symon didn't mean to hurt me. He'd never hurt me on purpose."

"I mean, I wouldn't hurt him on purpose. But sometimes... " She shrugs. "Sometimes it happens anyways, doesn't it?"

Jaymes ponders "yes, sometimes we hurt the ones we love without realizing it. "

Tove nods "I know that I have been spiteful to my father for example, I try to apologize and make amends when I did" Tove says of Torad

"But yeah. We're good."

"Better than good it seems" Jaymes nods then "We love you, and we WANT you to be happy. " A pause when his wife looks at him "I'm mildly fond of Symon"
