Jonas beams at her

"Oh, that's good." She says with relief.

Then, a slow pan up at Vali. "You said them, because you can't tell if it's a boy or girl, right? Like, gender neutral."

Vali thinks Wait for it

Obviously she misheard.

"No. I Said them because when the dreaming sends you a constellation pattern of Gemini and you hear a duet, it's set your omen on Easy Mode and you just thank it"

"In English?"

Jonas puts a comforting other hand about piper in case she freaks , but he is .. .smiling broadly

"Vous avez deux bébés." vali says, then "Oh, English? You've got not one , but two buns in the oven. Two kids. Twins. "

Eyes flick to Vali and back to Jonas, not comprehending.

And then, her voice, so melodic in song, speaks up in a broken squawk. "WHAT?!"

"That's WONDERFUL" Jonas grins

"I... but... the.. size... trolls... " She stammers!

"I'm gonna pop like that violet girl in Willy Wonka!"

"More like an over ripe fuzzy peach than a blue berry I think" Vali says " I mean, YOU are still a satyr"

In her defense, she does NOT faint like the weak willed Trolls did.

Jonas shoots Vali a look "Mountain, please" Then to Piper "It's okay. If we need to perhaps we... could skip the NATURAL child birth"

"You - " She gives an accusatory look at Vali. "Are you SURE?! Maybe you read it wrong. Reply hazy! Try again!"

"It's the clearest omen I've had in over a year" He assures "And don't look at me that way, I'm just the messenger. Kiling me is in poor taste"

She considers. "If I start blaming you, people might get confused as to who is the dad, so we can't have THAT."

"Did the omen say if -I- would make it through on the other end?" Suddenly a little pale.

"The omen sees the now, not the future" Vali says "But there are amazing healers out there who have delivered twins before. Deftly. I can guarentee you will have full support from RIvervale. It won't even come to a vote. All the elders are parents." Gently, trying to comfort her "We'll get things accessed as it goes along. "

Jonas looks worried now

A slow nod, and a look to Jonas. "Don't tell Siv what I said, okay? I don't want her worrying."

A haggard look though. "I'm just remembering - Tove was so big when she had CJ, and that was just ONE troll-blooded babe."

Jonas says "She's going to worry anyway. You should tell her"

"We'll tell her about the babes, of course. But I'm not burdening her with unnecessary worries. You heard Vali, he said it will be fine." Firmly. SHE may be allowed to worry, but not Siv, it seems.

"CJ was a big baby anyway. Look. Tiffany will be on your side too. I know she will." Vali says "She had similar worries" Of course she just had one

Theon came out less large than CJ

"Did SHE know something? She said, like.. about a litter." BLANCH. "It IS JUST TWO, RIGHT??"

"She's a pooka. Littering is her punny way of talking about having kids" he says "And all signs point to two."

She leans heavily against Jonas. "This is a lot to take in. I don't know if I was ready to know that. I don't think I am ready for ANY of this." A sigh, and she smiles a little. "Luckily I have the best partners. Two dads - er, moms - er... extra parents, means extra arms to hold babies."

Jonas says "Think of it this way, maybe they'll make a lovely duet once you teach them music?"

Her eyes glisten a bit. "You think they'll be musical?"

She presses on his hand again. "They will be smart, and brave, and strong, like their parents. Anything else... that's up to them."

"Siv has a lovely voice, you have a great one. Yes. I bet they do... and ... yes all that too" Jonas squeezed her hand back

“But it’s really for Jonas that we’re here today. I just… stole his appointment spot.”

"This is more important" Jonas says still amazed Twins!

"News flash. I can help two people" Vali offers

“Jonas needs help. He just won’t admit it.”

"It's just nightmares" Jonas shrugs "Nothing I can't handle"

Vali arches a brow "Oh yeah, nightmares, nothing to worry about. Not like we're living dreams or anything"

Jonas mmphs "No need to be sardonic or glib, sir."

“Well, you did say something quite silly.”

“It’s new. About since he got back from his dreaming adventure. You don’t think something followed him, do you?”

Vali kenns him "Mmm nothing current." He looks over "Anything else about this Dreaming adventure I should know?"

"I was successful, and returned in time to catch up." Jonas says simply

Vali arches a brow "And what was 'success'?"

"I got three treasures. What I sought, what I might want, and what I might need" Jonas says "The first was for Anne Marie. The other is.. ah, personal. The third well, it's on loan"

Vali says "Wait, on loan?"
