Dirk visibly drools a little

It's actually a subtle browbeat... but it works!

Yoel blurts, "I came of my own accordian, but I thought If I did a good job I'd get a good position with one of the trificia and have a position where I ..."

The accordian part aside, that felt true

And Brekke may take a look at the contact list and realizes Mrs Yoosten's number is on it, as is Alyssa's... and one other she does not know

A narrowed look. "You are not in anyone's service at this time?"

"Speech impediment" He reminds with a hapless look "But I'll tie. I am sworn to nuns. Not Duchesses, Counts, or Baronesses. I thought I'd roll initative. Some big census going on, so I figured, WHY? SOMETHING is up... so I got curious, I told you about that part " He goes on "It makes no sense. There's something a foot... and I figured it out, this lodge, it's one they're looking into. WHY when YOU are Hemlock's golden child? Or at least Green and Gold! SOmething's rotting in the state of norway I says... so I figure if I find out... I can get a Daniel Boone"

there's a lot of truth to that.. mislabeling aside, he is NOT sworn to a Duchess, Count, or a Baroness

And he thinks Rivervale is UP to something!

Which is very close to insulting her honor though the wilder may not realize it

"You...suspected that I am working against my liege?!" Oh, yes...there's that rising anger.

Siv looks offended too but obviously nothing so close as to true falcon rage.

"I.. uhm.." He says realizing this is a Gwydion he's talking to "No, absolutely not even for a second" Lie

"Oh shit, not a gain" Dirk mutters

Brekke's fist comes down hard on a table. Fortunately, the tables around here are made solidly...it only cracks a bit.

Siv then realizes how far this could go and whispers to dirk "If this goes bad, throw him OUT the door. I'll not have her kill him in here and violate the right o haven. She'd never forgive herself"

Dirk nods ready to chuck the fish to get pounded outside if need be

"I'm sorry" Yoel blurts "Sorrier than anyone has ever been"

the apology is true. He really regrets saying that now

"Peacekeeper." She's seething, and it hisses in her words. "Take him elsewhere. Keep him secure. He will be accompanying me to Caer Falken this evening. As will you and Lady Captain Siv."

"You got it, Chief" He hauls the pooka up, muttering to him "You are one lucky son of a bitch because she knows how to debone you, she wouldn't break a sweat" ANd he hauls Yoel off!

Outside.

Siv watches them go and turns to her mother "I'll get your coffee, mor. I'm sorry that was even HINTED before your fire"

Brekke glares after him as he's taken out the door. Then she shakes her head at the offer of coffee, and instead turns on her heel and heads through the kitchen door and onwards out to the yard and the practice ring. Soon, the familiar sound of a pell being demolished rings out.

Siv looks at the table, "You'll have to get heatherbalmed later" A shake of her head "STUPID ass pooka"

And Brekke? WHat she did to that table is nothing compared to what will happen to that Pell. It faces it's last moments

(End scene)

Not too long after, Sylvi returns from the party, a bit discouraged in demeanor, wearing her oversized shirt and a beach towel wrapped around her waist.

"Siv? What happened to the pooka?"

"And what's that pounding noise?"

Siv says "That's mom beating the living shit out of the pell"

"Oh, crud." She bites her lip.

Siv says "The pooka... Yoel? Seems to have come to some crazy idea that somehow RIVERVALE was plotting something nefarious, and was hoping to find out what treachery we were planning ...and then take the intell to someone higher up for a place in court or some such? It's a bit of a blur but basically mom read it as her plotting against her own liege and it sure sounded like that to me. " A long look to Sylvi "As you know, insulting a Gwydion's honor is a bad idea"

Her eyes widen. "Holy crap. Did she kill him?"

"No... she slammed her hand down and hurt the table" a look at the spot "And had Dirk take him out of the place to wait our trip to Caer Falken. Sylvi, goes without saying this one needs us to keep it in the family.. for now"

"Trust me, I don't want to think about this, let alone talk about it." A glance towards an especially powerful CRUNCH! from the practice ring.

"I think mor is about to SHOVE her way to the Count's chambers and demand to know what's going on. She might go to that new Baroness or DUchess Alyssa first"

Sam enters, looking in a good mood!

"There's something else she needs to know, something else I learned today...but I'm not sure I'm quite brave enough to tell her when she's in that mood...." Then a blink.

"Wait...you know?" she asks Siv.

"first things first... what is it you want to tell mom?" Curious tilt "I can tell her"

A look over to Dagmar, and a wry half-grin. "Hey."

The sound of angry demolition continues from the yard.

"....hi?"

"Dags, might want to give mother space" Siv warns

Brow?

She looks back to Siv. "That was it. That Alyssa's a Duchess. I thought...she might need to know."

Siv looks embarrassed, "I thought mom KNEW? Oh what an idiot I've been so.. sorry, Sylvi, you were right. She needs to know"

Then she turns to Dagmar. "After you and May and Lupe left, I called out Yoel for spying on everybody. It got bad. And then he came here and...insulted the Chieftain, somehow? I wasn't here for that part."

ANd to Dagmar "Long story , short? Yoel got questioned after being caught trying to get all sorts of personal security intell on the lodge. Mom questioned him. Turns out the fellow thought maybe she was plotting AGAINST her liege. Mom is, understandibly pissed"
