Gerd watches the pups "YOu think it's gonna be too hot? Should I set up a fan?"

She looks at Frank

Frank is leaning over the stall door, watching.

"What do you think, Edie?"

Eddie looks at her water bowl, which is full, and the shadow they're in. For now, she seems to think it is okay. She's not panting hard

"At least let me put some ice cubes in your Bowl?" Gerd asks her dog

The mother wags at that. She doesn't want to move her pups yet.

"Okay, but if it gets too hot for them or you you let me know" Gerd hurumphs

"We could set it up to move the air around, but not blow directly on you or the babies. Just let us know."

Edelweiss considers this, then gives a wuff nod. That might be okay

Gerd still looks worried, "She's stubborn"

"She's the mom."

"Fine, MOMS are stubborn" She says. "Mind you, I miss mine but not the point"

"Mmph."

Gerd turns her head "How was Breakfast with Siv and crew?"

Frank clears his throat.

A longish pause.

"Good."

A tilt of her head, a bit like Vegard that "Okay. They seemed a bit tense recently"

"Mmmm."

"Mmm?" ("Was there more?")

Frank takes a piece of hay and puts it in his mouth. He moves it from side to side. "Mm."

Gerd mimics the motion grabbing one of her own.

The horses look a bit worried but they let it slide

Frank is content to watch the pups.

At this stage the pups do little

The impasse is broken by Kerri.

But they're cute in a furry potato way

"Well! How is the family?" she says, coming over to look down on mama and the pups.

"I'm worried it's too hot outside, even in the stable's shade, but Eddie doesn't want to move her pups yet" Gerd sighs

Currently, Eddie is nudging her runt, making sure he drinks up

"Hmm." Kerri considers. "If it were too hot for them, she would want to move them, I think."

Is the runt getting milk?

He is. Just takes some coaxing

And one of the girls wants his share if he's not using it.

"Their personalities are beginning to show already," she comments about the greedy girl.

"Edie will let us know if she needs something." Frank says with complete, quiet, confidence

"Bit early for normal dogs, but they ARE fae hounds" A proud look from Gerd

Kerri nods agreement with Frank.

"Any job you need me to do, Hearth?"

"Oh, Gerd, you helped plenty yesterday. Don't you have a lake party to get ready for?"

"Oh.. oh I forgot. I should go get dressed. " She says to Eddie "Sorry, Eddie. Love you. Inside is open to you if you need it. Gotta go. Lake party"

Kerri says, "Let me know before you leave. I'll have a basket for you to bring."

Edelweiss stops licking a pup to give Gerd a look that in trollish would be seen as ("GO... go have fun. Pups kind of cut into lake party time for me. Duty and motherhood")

but that's probably a coincidence

Gerd says "Yes, Hearth" And she says "Thanks , Frank. you're probably right. Eddie's got this" And she heads off to get ready then get the basket

Frank nods; most of his attention is on the pups.

Kerri stays, watching the pups quietly for a moment. Then (unaware that she's echoing Gerd), she asks, "How was breakfast?"

"Good."

"I had the egg white omelet and wheat toast."
