For Brekke, the choice of Fool outfit has beeen interesting. They don't normally make motley in her size

When needed, she has usually resorted to parti-colored tunic-and-trews...unless somebody else prepares something more 'clever.'

The fool's cap never quite sits right between her horns, which only adds to the effect.

It looks like her standbys have been cleaned and touched up. Someone has gotten her a 'jester cane' with the design of a viking head on it, the helmet has horns (Inaccurate) except the 'horns' are actually brightly colored tassels. The visage is surprised

She picks up the cane and takes a closer look at its face.

As she focuses, it shifts a bit, and she realizes it has a milde magic to look like any face she wants.. within reason. Obviously no one will confuse it with the real thing

It can be a caricature of her own face, or the Count, or actors or comedians

She raises a brow in surprise...and it may well imitate her for a moment.

And then...well...it is Carnivale. She concentrates on an irreverent caricature of Hemlock's face.

Not too irreverent.

There he is, in falcon glory, sticking his tongue out

or if she focuses, with a dopey grin

Or...perhaps very confused?

There, looks like he got hit in the helmet hard by a blunt lance in a joust...

Oh, she shouldn't enjoy that. She shouldn't. But...it is Carnivale.

And it does look fun. And in away, Hemlock can still be here at Carnivale!

Hopefully he doesn't actually show up.

That would be awkward

A knock on the door

She sets the cane aside and goes to open it.

Vali is there in his own black and purple outfit, the buffoon might seem of higher station than the lowley fool, wit hthat waxed mustache (Fake) just so, and that flute... (Which has no holes) but still worthy of mockery

A blink. After a moment, she says, "Impressive."

"Thanks, I like the choice of faces" An amussed lookat the hemlock head "Kerri is getting on her clown chef outfit. Wait till you see your daughter's outfit by the way"

She restrains a wince. "I think I might wish to wait as long as possible, given what I imagine she might have chosen."

"Actually, I think you'll find it endearing" He assures

"Oh? Hm. Well..." She takes up the cane and makes sure her cap is on properly. "Let us go and see."

He nods, and as she comes out, she sees her Daughter. Who has most of her skin covered, thank the dreaming for her consideration, but has had someone do some fancy work for she has scales all over her face, exagerated lips slightly agape, and a fish tale out the back of her head that wiggles now and then. Make up gills adorn her neck as well. She wears a T shirt that has the words Caught and Cleaned By Kings Dec 17

and her birthyear

(A birthyear which is difficult to calculate honestly, but approximations are good.)

Brekke gapes at her a moment. It is not at ALL what she had been expecting.

Then...a grin.

The pants are also modest, fishing worthy jeans

She turns to see her mother then grins "Hey, mom"

"Siv. This is quite the outfit." Approval.

"Thanks, you look colorful." A smile back

Brekke spreads her arms wide and poses to let her appreciate.

Siv laughs "I'd hug you but I worry I'd mush my fish lips "

Some sounds from upstairs; footsteps, a door opening and shutting.

Frank comes downstairs. He's ... blue. Well, blue and green. And aqua. Gray, and teal, and silver. Navy and mint and indigo. He's used some kind of Glamour, because the colors shift and shimmer on... what can only be called his robes. At the end of those, it looks a lot like he's wearing... gold sandals? He carries an bone trident, and his silver-gold hair is braided back in a four-part braid, secured with a jeweled clasp.

Siv turns and covers her mouth in a gasp, then says "mom, look, look" Then a grin "Da"

He nods in acknowledgement; it is he.

Siv pushes her mom a little to go talk to da

(Off I go for likely the night, but game without me)

Brekke turns to look, expecting something perhaps fish-related...but she's not ready for what she sees. She stares, clearly stunned, for several seconds, and when Siv nudges her forward she actually almost stumbles...almost.

Frank steps forward and steadies her.

Perhaps she was only playing the role of fool for a moment? "You look...magnificent," she says quietly.

"That's unfortunate." as quietly.

A blink. "Why unfortunate?"

"I had intended to look like the ocean." deadpan.

Her eyes grow merry. "Precisely. Magnificent."
