When the skalds pause for a break, Brekke calls for quiet from all. "On this holiday, we honor the bards!" she says. "Therefore, tokens for you both." She gives each a braided arm ring. "Wear them well."

Torin inclines his head and takes it "you have the gratitude of this old skald"

Kerri made sure that the childlings have access to all sort of art supplies, and they've been reminded of the importance of artists and crafters on this holiday.

A nod in return from Brekke.

"Its' lovely. Thank you, Chieftain" Tove says and shows it off for Jaymes and Dagmar

Kerri gets drinks and food for the skalds and makes sure they get a good break before starting again. To fill in the time, she asks the childlings to share their favorite songs.

This gets a round of Baby Shark!

"See what you've done?" Olgar stage whispers to his wife

A wince, and an apologetic shrug to the Chieftain.

Brekke looks towards Valhalla, but then decides to enjoy it as best she can.

Frank quietly makes the dance hand-gestures from his seat.

When Brekke notices this, she gives him a puzzled look. "When did you learn this?"

"Cool" Siv grins

"About five years ago."

Applause all around when the childlings finally get to the end of the song.

The kids bow like a drunken theatre troupe

"Learn something new about Dad every day" Siv says delighted

Brekke seems similarly pleased to learn a new thing about Frank.

Frank sips his cider.

She also turns a grateful look to the Balefire. This is good. Thank you for giving us all you do.

And at that moment, the balefire responds to the thought with something interesting... a kind of ringing bell like surge of warmth flows out

Brekke's expression grows warmer at that, and she takes a deep breath.

And at that point, Vali tilts his head. Kerri feels it too

And something has been gifted to the lodge!
