Siv takes it "Thanks. So anything new on patrol besides the turkey?'

Ives says "Some of the CHimera are LOOKING Spooky but so far nothing dangerous"

Tiffany arcches a brow "Patrols are stormy weather news aren't they?"

"Mountain still records."

Siv takes notes "Also and more important ...My mom feels bad. This will help her review things in private . " Even unseelie she loves her parents and looks out for them

Kerri nods approval at Siv's thoughtfulness.

Tiffany looks sheepish "My patrol notes probably read like bad fan fic."

Ives says "Hearth, you want me to clean the turkey? I know how "

"It's not a Rivervale issue, but Olgar says he and Dagmar fought a big skull with spider legs, down at Rutgers. Might want to keep an eye out for chimera to get worse."

Siv makes a note of THAT

ANd looks interested "Rutgers sound more interesting than I thought"

"Apparently. Don't jump ship."

Siv shakes her head, "THat's where the SMART kids go"

At THAT tiffany arches a brow and looks at Kerri.

"You know better than to confuse 'educated' with 'smart,' girl."

"You chose a different path. And you're damn good at it."

Siv says "Sorry. Piper is out on a tour to see her dad and sometimes sees Goldfinch, and Jonas is busy and I just found out he's taking online courses. I feel abit... like a lump"

"They have body wash for that now" Tiffany offers helpfully

"Well, understandable, but hardly accurate. You do realize that as Pillar you're doing some of the most intellectual work that's required of Lodge leaders, yes?"

Siv says "I know. My dad's a smart man and Vali's not dim. Just I never saw myself as that lore driven, I mean, sure, Da used to read me the tales, and auntie tove and great uncle torin and I guess study into norway with mom..."

"But it's not what I thought of my 'action girl' self doing " She admits

"You're a gem with many facets, Captain Pillar."

Tiffany puts a hand on the girl "And you're saving a life, because if he left me alone for one more night, I'd have to kill him"

Siv actually laughs at that

"Okay ok... you're both funny and kind and I'll try to pull out of the sulk" Siv says "HOw are you three ..." She notices Ives has vanished "Two doing?"

A glance around, noticing the same thing. A frown. She doesn't much like being surprised right now. "Final preparations. We're going to have a zombie feast on the night."

"I thought Goldfinch was doing Samhain again?" Siv says curiously "You know, taking the load off mo..rivervale?"

"Yes. But those who stay here still need to be fed. I'll be setting out a buffet before sundown." And she describes:

"Oh right, and Vali will do an honoring of the dead" Siv says shaking her head "Pretty big mountain duty.."Then she hears the description "Oh I hope Symon at least hears of that"

"We'll make sure he does. And you should be here to help the Mountain with that...but after sundown, you of course will do what you do."

Siv admits "Samhain used to be my least favorite holiday. But Jonas and I got together with Piper on Samhain and since then I can't hate it"

"Least favorite? Why? I thought you would...ah...because of your mother," Kerri deduces.

"Well, that and I ... well, nearly lost a ship on Smhain" Siv says "it's hard to remember it all."

A frown, digging in her own fuzzy Samhain memories. "Did I know that? Here, or in the Dreaming?"

"Autumn world...near Charm" Siv says

Tiffany whistles low

A blink. "You went to Charm on Samhain?"

"In the kestrel... not sure all that happened, but I know I won't make THAT mistake again" Siv admits

"You took the KESTREL to Charm on Samhain?!"

Kerri looks over and checks the door to make sure the Chieftain wasn't right there to hear it.

It is possible only now retroactively is Kerri doing the math.. that would be pre narwhal... and ..oh dear god, was Sylvi along on that trip? Or wasn't she? Does she want to know?

"This was...a while ago...right?"

Siv smiles weakly "Been a LONG time now"

"You and...who else?"

"Snitches get stitches, Hearth" SHe says

"Also, It was a Samhain too so I honestly don't recall" Siv says with a shrug "And mom doesn't need to know, at least not this close to the holiday"
