Rivervale is definitely feeling the approach of Samhain. The Lodge seems to gather a few more cobwebs, and the windows seem to have leaks, or how else to explain the 'sigh' sounds now and then.

Of course, it is not tied just to the chief, and the influence of the New Mountain is felt in small almost smirky ways. For example, Kerri is sure it is not HER influence that has the toilet seat lids in the wrong position

Kerri assigns toilet-seat-correction duty to Squire Brogan and makes a note that Mountain Vali's rations of sweets should be curtailed.

Given she recently watched Theon so he and Tiffany will forgive that

Yes, she's carefully monitoring supplies and rations. Purchase what is needed for what is planned, and ensure that all receive what they need.

And that's when Thane Tiffany comes in, "Tadaa" Carrying 3 large pizzas from Lucia's folks resturant in boxes

This was not planned for

The dog pooka looks SO much better, bags under eyes gone, a light in her eyes, a wagging tail

A blink from the Hearth. "What's the occasion?" She clears space for the pizzas. This will require recalculation, but in a good way.

At least one of them is Kerri's preferred toppings!

'you liberated my damsel" Tiffany smiles happily, "I took him for a walk"

A grin. "I hope it was a good one? You certainly look like you might have been...well exercised." A bit of a wink.

Her tail wags more at that, "My coat has a shine to it again, yes. So It behooves me to thank you, though I'm curious" She notes the organizing "Is there a famine?"

"A famine?" she looks up sharply at the word...then relaxes. "Hm. No. I just feel the need to get organized."

"I thought passion before duty lead to socks left in the living room floor," A thought "Or is that Olgar?" She glances over at the magic cauldron that makes food duplicate "mmm probably survive the zombie apocolpyse"

"And if it were lost? Or broken? What then?"

She shakes her head. "Better to practice economy so that we know how to do it when needed."

"You sure you don't want a night off to tango sometime? I am a Salsa hound myself but to each their own"

She appears to be offering help in turn

"Oh, well...if you're offering...Olgar is pushing me to take the trip to Italy soon. If we do it, it will have to be before the pressures of the winter holidays. While we're gone, will you help support AnneMarie and Brogan, as you can?"

"I know, of course, you have patrols, but...you did offer."

"I catch it, they clean it I shoot it, they mount it" She salutes

As if on cue, Ives DeBuke comes in with a wild turkey, dead, of course

"Ives, well done," Kerri says with businesslike approval.

"Bit early, I know Hearth," He says "But I think I found out where they gather so come november..." Then he sees Tiffany "Miss Gardener, honor"

It would seem that he sees Tiffany as a fellow hunter which would be right. Ives has been very useful, he tends to hunt off the area as the Chief prefers, but he knows where to go to bring back good game while respecting it

"Nothing wrong with turkey even when it's not the centerpiece of a holiday." She takes the bird off of him and hefts it, nodding. "Fat fellow. And a good, clean shot, too." Approval.

Ives nods with easy confidence "Ain't nothin, ma'am. I do have a question, Chief, she seems kind of withdrawn... more so, harder to find? She okay?"

Tiffany gives Kerri a look, letting her field that ...Unseelie time p;roblem

A brow, then a nod. "Your first year here. That's the Chieftain's way near Samhain. And it makes her no less deadly in a fight, understood?" A caution.

"Wouldn't say otherwise, Hearth" He assures "Wouldn't think it either. So Respect her distance and stick to routine patrols unless she says otherwise?"

"Exactly. And do not discuss it with others, especially not outsiders."

Ives nods "Do I need to take an oath of secrecy? I wouldn't tell even without it but I don't know if a temp oath is customary"

Tiffany blinks "Bit free with the yoke there, boyo."

"You forget, Thane, that oaths strengthen us," she says to Tiffany. Then she considers Ives' question. "It is not customary. I think the Chieftain wouldn't want it. And I don't think you're a danger to tell. But...it might not be a bad idea with some others. I'll think about it."

Ives nods . That's fine by him

Tiffany says "speaking of things, Siv been told yet that she's a chip off the old Block? That a comfy pillar waits for her?"

Kerri's brows go up. "I thought that Vali would tell her. He hasn't?"

Tiffany grins "Three... two ... one..."

Now her brows furrow in confusion.

the door opens, and Siv comes in... wearing yesterday's clothes and her hair a bit greasy

Kerri spots her. "Wipe your feet."

Siv grumbles and steps back out, there's a scraping sound, then she comes back in "PIllar Siv reporting for duty" A bit sullen, but there

Tiffan howeever is suddenly very kind, perhaps a bit too sweet, "Captain, want to thnk you for helping my damsel with his swimming lessons. He was drowning

Siv mumbles something. It's not troll talk, just mumbling

Kerri sets aside the turkey on the counter, ready to be cleaned, then washes her hands and starts setting up a plate of pizza for Siv...with an extra slice.

"Help yourself, Ives, Tiffany of course."

"Thanks, Aunt Kerri" Siv pulls out some paper work and starts writing. For a Gen Zer she's actually got amazing penmanship, thanks to her time at Earth runes as she begins to crack the paperwork

"You might get grease on your notes" Ives observes as he gets a piece of pizza
