"Ah." She points in the direction of the trail. "Oak, go," she sends the dog on ahead, knowing Oak is canny enough that he's unlikely to get shot. She follows with long strides, waving Frank to follow.

And they move on, the path she found now open to the dog, and Oak moving ahead away from the playground where Otto was shot, and down a side road in an area with some houses of varying economic status. From one of the newly fixed up ones.. she hears splashing from a back yard..

And Brekke sees it, up a tree, a figure... whoever the figure iss, they're looking over a back fence of a yard, where children are in a pool!

Almost without thought, she has Speaker in hand, and she feeds it some of her own glamour to help it fly to its target as she hurls it HARD at the armed figure in the tree!

Both objects have mortal components, and as one, the couple throw .... Brekke catche's the man in the arm and hand causing him to drop his gun onto the soil.... Frank's tapper ,at the same time, whams into the would be sniper's HEAD causing HIM to drop from the tree.

The man cries out, hits the ground, grunts.. .and has Oak on top of him!

A wordless sounds of satisfaction at their tandem victory, and she rushes forward to make sure the sniper is immobilized, turning him face down and pinning his wrists to the small of his back.

The guy may have a protecctive vest but he's bleeeding from his scalp, has a possibly broken hand, and a Great Pyranness ready to tear off the other arm! Brekke slams him to the dirt and pins him

"Do not touch his weapon without a cloth," she says to Frank.

On the off chance, she kenns the sniper.

"No no..." The guy gasps with fury. This is no kith, no kithain, no prodigal, just a mortal with his own mad reasons for going after the vulnerable. One would think madness might be a source of glamour, but not in this case, hate and desperation has made him cooler than most

She fights the urge to spit on him. "Is there another? Or only you?"

"Just me... " Truth "I ... you have to let me die... No jail.. no..."

A scowl. "That would be merciful. Why do you deserve such mercy?"

"Mercy?" He seems surprised at the word "no such thing" He believes it "It's all shit. All of it"

the chill from this guy is nasty. She's faced colder, but she can feel the banality trying to eat at her fae side anyway

Frank stands over the weapon but does not touch it.

The shooter's soul is sick, his mind full of hate.

"Take care, Ranger." Frank uses his wife's mortal job's title as part of the warning. MB: Banality.

A nod at the warning. "Use your cellphone. Contact Lut." Frank would know that Lut has been working as a security guard and has made connections with local law enforcement.
