Alisa comes in, the dark skinned sidhe fledge has been NO trouble, probably why it's easy for others to forget about her.

But now she staggers in with a bloody blade, and a wound on her shoulder

"Hello?"

She is carrying Otto, the litle weiner dog boy

"Oh hell with it" She moves into the kitchen, kicking the door open, and roots for cookies, the magic sort

Fortunately there is one, and she puts it into the boy's mouth... his wounds, quite nasty, patch up, and his breathing grows regular

"This way, let's get you by the fire" Alisa says "easy, Otto"

Frank comes downstairs with his travel duffle in hand, prep'd for the road.

A wounded childling lays near the balefire, a wounded sidhe seems to be standing watch

"Sir Franklyn?" Alisa says "Can.. can you heal?"

"What's happened?" Frank puts the bag down and comes over.

"Healing is not in my cantrips, no, but we have other ways. And I do know first aid."

"He's shot" She says "I was grazed"

"He has a cookie, the magic one? But there aren't may left"

"Mmm...." Frank goes to the kitchen and grabs the cookies, and the first aid kit. He returns to start treating the wounds, childling first. "Did you eat a cookie?" he asks Alisa.

"No sir, only 3 left"

Indeed, they are almost out, and those cookies are geting a bit old

"Eat this one, then." Frank gives her a cookie, and examines the bullet wound on the boy.

It went through him, which is good, and the cookie he had seems to have stopped internal bleeding.

Alisa says "I think I should give it to him instead, Sir. I ..he's just a childling"

"Eat the cookie, Alisa." he instructs gently as he starts to apply first aid "You'll heal more fully and be of more help that way. Who's the boy?"

She gives a stubborn look, then bites down and chews "Otto, pooka fledge, awakened by Dame Dagmar and Squire Connor I think"

Frank nods and carefully bandages the boy. Is he awake?

He seems to have passed out from blood loss, if not for Alisa, he'd be quite dead.

"You saved a life, Alisa. Well done." He rumbles as he works.

"I didn't see the shooter" Alisa said, "I broke through, wyrded... and " Her graze is fading "Then saw the boy, I grabbed him instead to save him rathehr than avenge him. I heard the gun man running but by then it was too late to get a look or chase without risking Otto. "

"You make the right choice."

"I am a legend in flesh, I should have done more" A frown "But thank you. " A look at Otto "He'll be okay?"

Frank's hands are deft for such big fingers, and the boy is well bandaged now

The fire should heal him some tonight

"I think so. I've seen worse."

"Good. I shall go out there and seek out the shooter"

"I'd rather you stay here Alisa. I'll go take a look. You've been wounded, and the shooter may have seen you. I won't be known to them."

For a moment sidhe pride flares up, but then she looks at the boy "I'll guard Otto then. Here. Don't go alone, please, Sir. Take your dog at least?"

Cellphones give off an alert sound, buzzing

Frank nods. "Of course." He makes sure Otto is comfortably settled, tucked in. "Do you know if he has mortal family?"

"Yes sir. I'll handle it"

She checks her phone, and her eyes widen "Sir Franklyn? There's an alert out. A ..reported shooter. He's targeting kids in Bergen"

Frank nods. "Call everyone. Let them know what's going on. Brekke will have instructions. I'm going out."

"Yes, Sir, " She suddenly finds herself manning the phones

Frank stops long enough to arm and armor himself; he doesn't do it often, but guns are involved.

Oak moves to his side, a serious look

"Let's go, boy." Frank leads them out. "Oak, if bullets start flying I need you to get word to the Lodge, understand?"

Oak 's tail does not wag, this isn't a happy thing, he snorts, but nods. He seems to dislike the idea of deserting his two legger, but he'll obey

The dog and his person head out. Frank's cellphone is lit up with news if he checks, Blue alerts for police or whatever they call them. Streaming news. Two children dead in two shootings, believed to be the same shooter

"I'm going to need back up, and I won't have time to use the telephone." he explains further, but then they are on the hunt, senses on high alert.

Oak tilts his head, sniffs the air

"Got something?" Frank murmurs.

A frustrated grunt. Nothing yet.

As they move, Oak DOES turn, but he wags. An Ally is coming
