"Before you worry, dad. I wear a one piece when I'm in the chair, which isn't often."

A bemused glance at Frank.

He pauses, mouth full.... then he swallows and says "Worry?"

"I mean I'm not being immodest" She assures "Bikinis get yanked when you're trying to pull someone out of the water and they go to easy. Impractical"

"Siv, that topic is not really an issue for me." he says, and takes a sip of coffee.

"Sorry Da" she says and asks "More pancakes for either? Refill on coffee, Mom?"

"You are no longer the wild child, Siv. You are a woman, and you have made many sensible choices. This is another one." Then a nod as she holds out her mug. "More coffee is also sensible."

A grin at her mom, and more coffee is provided

Frank polishes off the meal in good time, and takes his usual second and last cup of coffee.

Siv beams.. and says "Sounds like a clue for the gift" She says and offers up the wrapped object

"Mm." Frank wrangles the tray and dishes to make room.

She takes the tray out and hands him the object

Brekke grins and watches. She does not look curious, only pleased. Perhaps she already knows what it is?

When Frank opens it... he sees it is a photo Album, and opening that... he sees who the photos are of:

A picture of Signe and Brekke on Patrol, of course it doesn't show Brekke as a troll, just a mortal woman, but the new dog seems happy
to be about her on patrols.
Then, another picture, Frank on a Cot, with a dog's head in his lap. He's showing a gentle side.
Followed by a picture of Sylvi and Siv snitching some hot rolls while the Hearth is distracted by her Husband.
Followed by a picture of Sylvi and Siv now cleaning the kitchen, perhaps as a reprimand for food snitching. Knowing Kerri's food, still worth it
A picture of Jessica at Fenix sorting over a photo album with a smile on her face
a picture of Jessica yelling outside a spa, perhaps one can imaging saying 'PANTS'
A picture of Frank and Brekke holding hands on a park bench

There's even a picture of Frank stepping out the Dawntreader as Brekke waits with two cups of coffee on the porch

Brekke watches Frank's expressions as he looks at the pictures.

A faint frown ... but his beard moves.

A few Brekke didn't see the first time include one of Siv with engine oil on her as she does repairs. Siv with a cat on her head and a sigh while COnnor laughs

She notes this. "You added more," she comments.

"Actually i considered hiding that one" She admits

but she smiles

then a look at her father "Do you like it?"

"I do. You girls were very sweet, and a little sneaky, to put it together. Thank you." he offers a hug.

"Resourceful," Brekke edits.

She hugs him 'well, in truth... Tiffany took the photos. But sis and I chipped in on buying these photos"

"Has Jessica had a chance to see them?"

"I think Tiffany showed them to her when she visited... that's how she got the recent photos of Jessica" Siv sayys "See the one of Jessica looking over the photo albulm?"

"Ah? Oh, I see now, yes." Pleased.

Frank flips to the page and shifts it to show Brekke.... actually, he hands the whole thing to her.

"Siv, would you excuse us for a moment?"

She accepts.

"Oh, and Dad, in case you feel this was a bit too intrusive ... you should know you are now also the owner of the negatives.." Siv nods "I know you an be a private person. '

And she nods "Course" she gets the trays to take down the stairs "Have a great father's day!"

"Thank you." gravely.

And soon it's just the two of them

(that was both to the negatives and her depature.)

"Excuse me." Frank says, and gets up.

Brekke nods approval about the negatives, turning a page and enjoying the photos. "Well done, Siv."

Brekke looks up from the album and watches him start his morning routine.

Well, at least his visit to the toilet, yes. Then he comes back to bed.

She watches his expression as he returns.

"Happy Father's Day," she says quietly.

"Thank you... and thank you, for making me a father." he leans over and kisses her.

The kiss is returned, and she carefully closes the album and hands it back to him. "This is a fine family treasure."

"It is." he says with quiet satisfaction and takes it reverently to the dresser, where he sets it down before returning to bed, his wife, and his coffee.

She welcomes him back. And once he finishes his coffee...she sees if maybe she can keep him in bed just a bit later. Maybe quite a bit later. After all, it's his special day.
