"One of the Thallain we captured and turned over to Baron Kealan said they were trying to pervert the hammer to work -for- them." Frank says quietly at his stew.

"Oh that would have been bad, superbad" Vali frowns "Glad you stopped him. Frank, after you got some rest, can you give me a full report on your side of things?"

"Yes, Mountain."

"THank you"

He rasises a brow "Gerd, did you spike my stew with another cookie?" He looks a bit healther

"Maaybe" She says

"Well, stop it. I have a heatherbalm on the way and we need reserves to..." A knock at the door

Tiffany flies to it, opens it, and almost pushes dame Anne Marie along "Here's my damsel, he's dented. I ccan't afford a new one. Took forever to break this model in and train him"

"I..see" the Boggan blinks

Frank takes his bowl to the kitchen to clean up.

Oak rises stiffly to follow him

Frank transfers the leftovers to a storage container and puts it in the fridge, then washes up.

The door opens, it's Vali, looking much better

"Frank, how hurt are you?" He asks

He washes as he speaks "I was treated on-scene. Some cuts and bruises, a stab wound. Nothing major."

"You were healed up fully?"

"No, Mountain. But I don't need to be."

"Yeah you do" He says "Because Oak is refusing healing until you get it'

Frank frowns. "I checked him, cleaned him up. He wasn't badly hurt. I would have seen it."

"Well, let Dame Anne Marie heal you anyway"

"She's done enough. I'm fine."

"I could pull rank on you' He says

"Yes, Mountain."

A sigh 'But i won't. sleep by the fire at least? You and Oak?"

"That is your place tonight, Mountain."

"I just got healed by Anne Marie. I'm at least as well off as you are" A reminder

"Yes, Mountain."

Washing up done, he dries his hands and turns to face Vali.

"We can set up two spots if it helps." He says

"That is at your discretion, Mountain."

A stubborn look "Fine. To the second cot you will go. I will go to the first. We sleep together and not in a way that will worry our wives" a shake of his head "I Have to tell the Chief I got you injured, Frank. It was on my orders. I can at least return you in mint condition. "

"Yes, Mountain."

He rubs at his head , then says "THank you" and leaves the kitchen

Frank waits a moment, then goes to set up a second cot.

He moves a little stiffly, true, but without wincing.

Oak settles on the floor

After his spot is set up, he goes upstairs to clean up and change into sleeping clothes, and then returns.

Vali is already there, in PJs, but his wife and he are takling

"TIffany, you don't need to patrol" He says

"We're a bit short pawed, so yes, yes I do " tiffany reminds

Frank pauses, and then retreats back up the stairs to let them speak.

A brief debate/couple disaggrement, which tiffany wins but has to agree to only patrol so far and so long

frankly a lot of it sounds like Gibberish, but.. pooka

Frank, in his room, hears even less than Gibberish.
