Siv enters into the Lodge

"Dad?"

"Yes?" Frank pokes out of the kitchen; Samhain is almost completely faded from him. Full sentences and everything.

"Dad. Kassedy and I visited Earth Runes. Baron August says you... what was the phrase?" She tries to recall

Blink.

"Oh yes... he said you were a valued member of House Liam with revolutionary perspectives on a number of topics."

"Mmm." Frank rumbles "I don't know about that."

"He seemed sure. Dad, you didn't tell me your writings were that wide spread, or rrespected"

"A lot of that is very subjective, Siv."

"Uh huh, and you and Count Jude PUBLISHED a debate? Kithain only, of course."

"I don't know I would say we published a -debate-." he responds "We exchanged letters and agreed to put them in order and offer them to our House."

"Well, Kassedy knows about it. " A shake of her head "Did I just MISS that you were a academic superstar in your house?"

"I am -not- that." Frank says firmly "I contribute occasionally. Kassedy has been reading."

"I can read. How did I not know these things about my own father?"

A brow

Frank seems nonplussed "You did not read the things I contributed to?" he guesses.

"Because I didn' know you'd contributed so much. I didn' even see half these books at your shelf here"

"Why... why would I have them on my shelves?"

"Because they'e part of our lodge history. Because you had a part in nit?"

"And... there it is." he gestures; on the shelf, there it is.

She looks "How did I.. oh I am so terribly self absorbed"

She takes the book "Which one is this one?"

Frank pads over to look. "Oh, no. Not that one."

"No? " She looks at the cover

A sigh. "Up to you." The cover reads "A year on the road; Mortals."

"Oh?" She she flips it open

"I ttake it it's about people you met on the road?"

"Somewhat."

"When was this written?" Curious

"That one?" Frank shrugs "1993?"

"Wow, this is an old book" She gapes

"Yes." Frank says.

"Is it your first?" She reads as she talks

After a pause....... "Yes."

"May I borrow it?" She seems to be riveted "I can read it just here if you like"

"Siv, you may have it. If you wish."

"Oh... " She looks touched "I ..wouldn't take lodge history dad."

"Then... return it."

"I will, once I'm done" She smiles "Do you want to grab a book for yourself annd we both drinnk coffee?"

"Mm. I'd like cider."

"I'll get it" She rises to fetch her father a cider, a then decides to get herself one as well "Now grab a book for yourself dad"

"Do you have a suggestion for me?" Frank seems open to options.

"Actually... " Siv perks "I do! Sec." She sets his cider down, then goes up stairs to her old room.

Then comes back down "Dad, here you go. See what you think?" She hands him a book, one with stylized flames. The Free Flame Journals, Book 1

"Constance the scribe has kept records of every year of Jessica's rule, made more than one copy. I'm not sure Jessica even realizes that's part of the Scribe's job"

"Mm. Thank you, Siv. I might wait for now? I have a book I'm reading, just now? Started it in the Rig."

"Oh! Sure. What are you reading if I may ask?" She has handed him his cider too and grabbed the book her father wrote to sit down with it. She pats the coach, and Oak jumps up happy to be used as a pillow

Frank makes room for Siv and Oak to join him on the couch... Oak might get some blame-shade....
