For Frank, well, his wife is sleeping off her Unseelie samhain, the light coming through, he might feel more himself. And in some ways, Samhain was easier. He doesn't remember as much hassle or work... not being mountain let him focus on his wife and being a comfort to her.

He may not be mountain, but he's versed enough to guess that Goldfinch acted like a magnet to take the trouble off Rivervale lodge.

Indeed, the lodge itself seems to be glad that's over. At least if he reads the bale right. Weird not being connected to it directly, but he is still married to it's storm and chief and he knows some signs

He wakes groggy, still fully clothed but dirty and matted. And... on the floor. He's got... a dog blanket? Brekke.... he gives her a careful look-over. No obvious injuries, she's sleeping normally.... he eases away to sit up and scrub his face with his hands.

Indeed, ,the Chief is quite out cold, but her face looks untroubled

Frank slides away, and gets their blanket to cover her with before padding off in sock-feet to get a shower and a change. Then he heads downstairs.

Downstairs he finds Tig, who looks a bit rough, but is on duty so to speak "morning"

Frank grunts, then clears his throat and goes to pour a coffee.

"Hey Mo.. uhm.. Mister King? Sir?" Tig grins "I can't be the only one adjusting"

He drinks, clears his throat again. "To?"

"To the fact Vali's now mountain and you're focusing on other things," A shrug as he gets himself a coffee, "Samhain here went smoothly?"

"Seems to have done, yes."

"Big blur to me. I remember being on patrol ish last night near the apartments and having to fight a chimera off a dreamer... not sure if I hurt it, but I did chase it off. It was a floating squid thing about ten feet long?"

"Don't remember having seen it."

"Well that's a good sign, maybe it' a one night and done.," Tig sips, " I did walk by the Goldfinch... wild party time there but no escheat broken. You heard about Dame Anne Marie?"

"Mm?" He tries to think "No."

"There was a boy, Seth? Ended up being rescued by Goldfinch. A son of adam."

Frank frowns.

"Turns out his parents were abusive... even while Unseelie Syvi alerted Anne Marie and got her help with the kid "

Frank nods, drinking coffee. "Sylvi.... is a credit. To herself. And the Lodge."

"She is, and Goldfinch is as an inclusive place as we could hope for" Tig nodded, "Though it favors w ilders, I feel a bit torn there. I like it, but while i am welcome, I feel like if I sneeze wrong I'll age out."

Frank nods. "Not alone."

"Ha." A nod "Well, I'm used to you being the old hand at the ranch so to speak. THough when you came back just a bit younger wit ha new daughter it boggled Lut and I. I think your second round of fatherhood put the years back though. Don't tell Siv I said that."

"Mm."

"How did the trip go? I never did ask"

"Trip?"

"You and the Chief went to Maine last month? Came back right before samhain?"

"Right. Up near Stone Coast... not into the Duchy, though."

"Good. Trip was good. Quiet."

"sounds peaceful" He nods "Enjoying being back in that saddle again?"

Frank nods, pours a second cup.

"Need food." He rumbles, and heads to the kitchen.

He sips again. "Lut and I don't hang as much. Not since he moved in with that sexy PE teacher. Everyone seems to be going respectable"

"Mm." As he disappears into the kitchen, followed by the sound of careful rumaging.

A brow, but he sips and waits

It takes a bit, but Frank returns holding a tray carefully; bread, fruit, cheese.... he sets it down and goes to pour a mug of coffee; his own is on the tray.

Another sip

"Of course, that may not be a problem for some"

"Mm?"

"I said everyone seems to be going respectable. " he repeated "I was fishing for sympathy not too subtly."

Frank puzzles over this a moment. "Want people to feel sorry for you?"

He thinks about it "Nah, I guess not. I've got a good life."

Frank nods agreement.

He looks at the tray. "Food. Hmmphm." He looks at the kitchen, at Tig "You get food. I.... take this to Brekke."

"Ah, will do" he nods

Frank gruns again and takes the tray upstairs quietly; he makes every effort to avoid waking anyone, especially Brekke.

And Tig gets himself some food

Frank returns shortly; he took another moment to groom himself a little better; brushing hair and beard and teeth, and putting himself together a little better.

"Still feeling a bit.. samhainy?" He asks not sure that's the right word

He's gotten himself some little cheeses and meat strips. Poor Oak is staring at him as if trying to WILL the food to him
