"it certainly fits with what da taught me of troll history" She agrees, "But I have to admit, it never occured to me now and I'm sure .. I think the arts are changing a litlte. Maybe the rules are. New ones, or old ones returned?"

"Oh, like Symon's creepy eye thing?"

"I don't really do magic. Dad and Vali have helped me some with Primal - I can summon stuff now! - but, like, dunno... I prefer Flyswatter."

"You're not bad with Winter magic either" She says "Have you given up persuing that? "

"Given up? Nah. Just..." She shrugs.

"You prefer flyswatter" Siv nods, "No shame in having preferences or expertise. Like I'll never be as good on a horse as you are, prefer a ship's deck"

"I've actually thought of asking your dad for lessons in weather magics. Might be good for ship work"

"Oh, sure! Specially with sailing ships."

"Yeath get a bit off a breeze going and woosh, but your dad's so busy at the store and then with CJ I feel almost guilty asking him" She confesses "I suppose I could pay the man in cleaning his story. Janitorial work is my 'mortal gig' anyway"

"How are you liking that? I mean, the pay decent?"

"You know, I don't like It, but folks rarely interact with cleaning crew except maybe to tell them a spill is there, so for one who is..vunlerable to banality, it's not a bad choice. The pay varies.. but I have to say it's actually better than some of the local fast food jobs, not much better. And some folks will try to take advantage of you. Like you're young and they're 'doing you a favor getting you started' so you should do it for less than minimum wage. Avoid those clowns. " A snort "I mmean like 'really' you're doing me a 'favor' by 'letting me' clean up stuff you won't bend over for yourself but it needs to be done? I'm actually very lucky Mr. Dyers at the Appartment gave me some tips. I don't like his daughter much, but he's a good man"

"Uhg. Rikki." A sigh. "That's not chivalrous.. but.."

"Yeah, she's Piper's best friend so I have to put up with her," A sigh "I get it, Rikki wants to wave a middle finger to the world and 'do her own thing' but she could put the finger down for five bloody minutes and maybe do her thing with less noise"

"Still, she apologized at the meeting, kinda" A look at Dagmar "What do you think?"

Grunt.

"She was being a dick to Sylvi."

"I thought she was being a dick to the whole room, but yeah" A nod "Guess she holds a grudge to the lodge and still thinks of Sylvi as part of it, which she is. Being a Goldfinch freeholder won't change her ties here in my book. " A sip "I like Goldfinch fine, looks to be shaping up nice, but ..." She looks around the lodge with it's warm protective fire and fine wood work, high ceiling "I'll never NOT love this place"

"That said, Piper looks like she's in love with it already and I'll have to back her all the way. Be worth it to see her smile" fondly

"Yeah, I get that."

"I... I dunno. I don't want... " A frown. "Like, school is starting soon... like, I liked having homework table here?"

"But if everybody... I dunno... this is my hold. I don't need another."

"So do homework here and invite your group to do it here. You study better here right?" Siv advises, "Besides, Cuz, let's be honest, even with the sound proofed room and the silent switch, that place is going to have too many parties or things going on for anyone to focus on studying. Symon will probably glad to show up here any day of a week if he has to study. Gerd too. I got my GED but if there's something you need help with I don't suck at, I'll try " An admission

"Also, it'll give Sylvi a change of pace if she does her studying here. She doesn't need her new life to just be cheerlead then Goldfinch, sleep, repeat"

"Maybe."

"Well, if you want me to bring it up to her, I can" An offer "If both of us point it out she might be more likely to consider. I'm actually more worried about her and Colton"

"Mmph."

"Well they love each other," she sighs happily, "And he's become a better man, and she deserves happiness... they're such a good couple. I hope this distance doesn't break them up"

Her mouth twists.

"You don't like Colton?" A surprised look

"Or am I misreading the mouth twist there?" Siv inquires curiously

"Colton's fine. Solid guy."

"But who cares if they break up? We're teenagers."

"We're wilders, old souls returned..." Siv points out but does consider "I guess, we should care because it does hurt and I don't either of them hurting. Still, mom didn't fall for dad till much later in life. They say that trip through the sea of ages gave them about six years back in their life but then I aged them back again" wry, "And yeah, fair point wilders ARE Teens but ...maybe this is the love of a life time for SYlvi and Colton? Maybe it's meant to be? Wouldn't that be wonderful?"

"And if it is," She goes on, eyes light up "it's worth fighting for"

"If it is 'meant to be,' then it'll be."

"But sometimes it ain't. And, like, that's okay too - isn't it?"

"This is a different life than the others. So." Shrug, frown.

"Da'an opens doors, doesn't mean it doesn't ask us to help make it work. Love is hard work, trust me, there are times I want to shake Piper and I'm sure she feels the same about me other days. And don't get me started on Jonas. He's brilliant, but Piper and I have to practically twist his arm to open up sometimes" Siv ponders "But yes, things do differ from life to life. I'm still hoping you find the right girl or guy but I think... and forgive me for saying? It would be wrong to rush you into things. You're ..well, you're more like mom than I am, and I bet it'll be when you're older and no shame in that. " A pause "Also , if I TRIED to play matchmaker for you, I bet you'd give me that look, with the knit brows"

Grunt.

Siv grunts back ,but her troll lingo is still terrible and whatever she meant to say it came out more as 'du dabbah dee'

"So they'll either work it out or not. There's a trod. It ain't that bad a drive."

"Suppose" nose wrinkle, "But you're killing the Fiona love of romantic drama here, Falcon"

"You're right, Lion."

And that gets Siv to laugh

"Dagmar, I know it's bonkers to say it, but you're my favorite cousin- CJ is great, but he's got a tough act to follow"

Snort.

"CJ is the cute one."
