"I am spam... Spam I am!" He grins goofily. "Do you like this meat in can?"

TThe boys soon get to playing annd punning, because hey, they're kids

(Fade to two boys goofing off)

And Nolan comes in cautiously

"Oh, Nolan! There you are! Good..." Kerri is setting out some plates for dinner. "Come on into the kitchen."

"Gonna have the brute squad get me if I don't?"

"Well, it just means that dinner will be slower to get to the table if you don't give me a hand. Though honestly, you've already saved me a good deal of shopping..." She beckons him to follow her.

"I plead the 5th" but he follows

In the kitchen, smells of roasted meat and fried meat and various seasonings and spices greet his nose...and he can see through the window that Olgar is working at the grill. Platters of various foods are on the counter. There are still Spam cans peeking out of every shelf and cabinet, but so much good-looking food is ready to serve!

"Heh" he looks and chuckles..

She gives him a look. "Something funny?"

Said mildly enough.

"NOOO nothinggg funny about a hillside worth of Spam. " Smirk

"Well, it's definitely more than I really want to deal with, but since it's here..." She hands him some cloth napkins. "Please put these out at the place settings."

"Gotcha" and he gets to work "So.. is this the flogging?"

"Flogging? Not at all!"

As he turns to go back out to set the napkins out, he almost runs into the Chieftain on the other side of the door. "Ah. Nolan." A nod. "I understand we have you to thank for tonight's theme?" She sounds...amused?

"I believe in self betterment" he explains

"This is good to hear." She nods, then looks past him to Kerri. "I do not know if the Mountain will be joining us, but others might."

"That's fine," Kerri nods. "Let me check with Olgar, but I think we're about ready." She wipes her hands. "Nolan, when you're done with the napkins, please put the big platter there out on the table." She goes out back to speak with Olgar.

“MEAT!” Comes a joyous cry, as Connor barrels in.

Jack follows "Or something that looks like it" He gives the Chief a hug around the leg "I saw the garden"

Dagmar follows. "Uh, I brought broccoli?"

"I told her NOT to...." He sighs.

Indeed, she has a hotdish tucked under one arm. "Tove said there was a need for balance."

Outside, Kerri tells Olgar, "I think we're ready!"

Olgar nods and lays out the tray "Grilled Spam it is"

Brekke reaches down to give Jack a one-armed hug in reply. "Yes?"

"You may do the honors of bringing it in," she tells him with a smile and a flick of her dishtowel. She turns to go back inside herself.

She brings another tray out from the kitchen, smiling as she sees all the arrivals.

"The late summer plants are in in full. I'm gonnna pluck some tomorrow"

"Oh, Dagmar, thank you...some green is essential." Kerri gives a nod of approval.

"I need four people to come into the kitchen and each bring one tray out. We have a bounty!"

Olggar grunts "Mule train.." And comes in carryingg a LOT of Grilled Spam.

Brekke nods seriously at Jack. "Will you allow me to help?"

Jack ponders "Well, I shouldn't be the ONLY onne to have the fun, so sure"

"I'll help!" She sets the broccoli out before heading for the kitchen.

Some of the grilled spam is in shapes.

"My thanks," Brekke says to Jack. Then she sends him off to fetch a tray.

Connor peeks at the meat shapes.

Other trays include such delicacies as Spam and Tater-tot casserole, Spam tortillas, Spam'mac'n'cheese....

There's a LOT of food...so if Connor and Jack invited others who have not yet shown up, it should not present a problem.
