"Goldfinch's stand for prosperity and joy. There was some prize winning book about them we were supposed to read in English class... I never finished it, it was actually pretty depressing - but I remember that trivia tidbit."

Kerri grins at the book comment. "You have a picture?" she picks up on what Sally Mae said.

"It looks like it was built back in the 30's -maybe earlier? Give or take a decade. Really cool vintage effects, some renovations recently - and by recent, I mean the 70's... it's pretty rough, but oh, if you were THERE, and could feel the energy...." Wrapping her arms around her in a self-hug as though she could still feel the glamour of the place.

"Pictures, yeah, here- " She offers her phone over, then pauses, awkwardly, "Um, not to be rude - do you know how to manage the pictures app?" Polite, but trying clearly not to be presumptuous.

Piper's certainly got Kerri's attention with that description, and she reaches for the phone.

Sally Mae is Careful NOT to laugh

A brow at the question. "Don't mistake me for the Chieftain. I'm residing in the current century, for the most part."

She flips slowly through the photos, concentrating on the exteriors first. And she definitely doesn't scan beyond where they seem to end.

She turns red and ducks her head a bit embarassed. "Sorry, Hearth. You're right."

The final pic she sees is - Siv and Piper in cute plaid golf outfits?! They're CUTE though!

Amusement at that, but then she goes back through the photos of the studio. "How long has this place been vacant? And how did you manage to get inside?"

Now Sally Mae's interest is up again. She hadn't thought to ask the details of how it got discovered

She makes a mental note to add to the rule list of hearthing she's been aquiring. This will be Rule #44- In case of 'Need to know basis' then the Hearth ALWAYS needs to know

"I have a new dreamer I met." Proud. "Mused her fair and square, and she's a bright one, too." Piper IS glowing a bit with fresh glamour.

"Her family owns the property - they're Country-Club rich, but she's not stuck up, even if it sounds like the rest of them might be. Not sure if they're old or new money, if that matters." It doesn't seem to matter to Piper. "She's been sneaking off there to practice 'garbage music' that isn't worth playing, according to her folks." Clearly affronted at THAT.

"She has keys - we didn't break in." Though she seems less concerned with the idea of having broken a mortal law, then she was in making sure it was clear she was on the right side of FAE rules.

Sally Mae smiles "You helped muse a dreamer? Wonderful"

Kerri looks impressed at the news of a new Dreamer. "Congrats on the find!" she says, and she doesn't seem to mean the building.

"And knowing somebody connected with the property might be a big help, if you're on good standing with her."

She's looking seriously at the photos again, flipping through a third time....

"You say it felt good in there?"

"Well, the acoustics were incredible. I'm trying to figure out a way to get Tove, and maybe Etsy over there to try it out. Maybe Linwood, too. I'd love a few other musician's perspectives. Oh, OH, AND, there's recording equipment for radio shows, and I think it could be converted for podcasts, AND for private recording spaces for streamers and video recordings. Like Sylvi does! Maybe if she has some time free on her next visit I'll pick her brain a bit."

"Though I admit that MY tech expertise extends to track mixing in one direction, and then stops just past iPhone app installation in the other."

"mmm sounds like it would be up Sylvi's avenue too if it needs revamping"

"And yeah, I felt like... you know, like when you're in a real nice, clean natural place and you can just FEEL the nature around you? It was like that, except with traces of dreamers, overlapped and layered, going back."

"Which means they probably never had any record EXECs step foot in the place." A grin.

Kerri is very quiet, nodding now and then, still looking at the pictures.

Another moment. "And...it's for sale?"

One can almost hear the gears turning.

"To be honest, Hearth, they'll probably expect whoever buys it to tear it down. MONEY wise, it's not the best investment" Sally Mae says "But if it helps dreamers...that's another matter"

"Yes," she says quietly. Then more clearly, "Yes. Okay. Sally Mae, can you finish unpacking these? Piper," she hands the phone back, "please text me those photos. And please excuse me, ladies. I have some research to do."

"It is. Probably going to get turned into some sort of restaurant or fast food joint. But... I'm doing some checking around. If I can find a way to fix it, I will. I'd take out a loan. Wait... Miss - Hearth Kerri? You're not going to try to buy this out from under me, are you?"

Sally Mae nods and gets to it "No problem, Hearth... "

A blink. "Piper...are you hoping to own this privately?"

"Well... well, no. But... if something is going to happen with it? I had been thinking of ideas to save it.. but to keep it safe for my dreamer, and musicians. I'm not saying.... I don't know, I just, it was something I wanted to help. And not by... handing it off." She ducks her head.

"No...no, you're right."

"But I don't know if I CAN." SHe adds, a touch frustrated - not at Kerri.

"I have all these ideas - maybe it IS too big for me."

"Piper, I think I might have a notion that would save the location, make it a place where your Dreamer and others can make beauty happen, and that can support others as well. I have no intention of making any deals behind your back...but I do want to find out some more information before I share my thoughts with you. Is that...does that seem fair to you?" A sincere question.

She exhales slowly, and nods. "Sorry, that was a bit of a knee-jerk reaction, and that kneed me into a 'jerk' reaction. I think it's clear that I can't do this alone. Even with Sally Mae's help. I would be grateful for any advice you have and help you can offer."

Kerri nods. "Give me 24 hours to find out what I can."

"I'll offer help to the project however it turns out" Sally Mae says to both "hearth.. I should tell you something?"

"I'll send you what I have now." THen she pauses, and looks at Sally Mae. "Um, is this private Hearth stuff? Should I go?"

"More like something that's gonna come out eventually..." A sheepish look

"Yes?" Kerri pauses for Sally Mae's news.

"Knight's Heart has been something of a windfall to me. I've made a share as it's spread and set up franchises. I worked with Caesar in real estate- If you both agree this is important, I can chip in a LOT more than the 10,000 dollars I mentioned." A blush but also pleased

"And you said you didn't have any of the hot goss'." Piper says in a hushed tone, grinning.

Before making a 'key-lock' motion in front of her lips. "Loose lips sink ships, and Siv would never forgive me if I did That."

A surprised look, then a smile! "Well, look at Miss Moneybags! Good for you!"

"Well I didn't make a fuss about it, because as soon as someone discovers you're a millionaire and they need help, if you deny it you feel like a bitch..." she admits

"And thank you, Piper. ZIpped lips on the extent is nice."

"I wonder.... " She suddenly looks thoughtful. "If the building is big enough... there seemed to be some extra space - maybe there could be one of those, you know, mini-museum type areas? Or maybe it could expand. Siv introduced me to this fellow, a bit of a hermit, but he has the most AMAZING collection of antique records and stuff. I can't say for sure, but he might rest easier if some of it was in a safe place, protected but where other musicians could be inspired by them, on loan..."
