Jaymes comes into the lodge

((Not sure how long I'll have - could be long lags but win/lose I'll be on after 6:30 or so.))

Frank looks up from where he is pouring a cider. "Jaymes. Coffee?"

"Please" he nods

He pours and brings it over. "Seat?" he invites.

"Sure. " he takes the seat "All all right?"

"Mmm."(es.)

(Yes)

He sits as well, sips his cider. "Wanted to talk to you. Some changes coming up. Wanted you to know, tell your family."

"Mmmph" A nod ("Go on"_)

"Still confidential information. I'm stepping down as Mountain. Vali is rising as Mountain."

A blink, a look over then "You said you were all right"

"I am."

Mmm then "You WANT This?"

"Yes."

mmm

then "More time with your wife as a husband?"

"That'd be welcome but not sure how it will work out. Going back over-the-road more often. Still doing work and patrols here when I'm here. Definitely like the idea of spending time with family."

A nod "How can I support or help?"

"Trying to keep the news soft, quiet, until we're ready to announce with an open invitation to the transfer. Figured your family might benefit from some prep; soften the news when they get it. I've spoke with Brekke, Jess, and Siv. You and yours are family too."

"Dagmar won't like it but she'll be glad to know you're staying."

"Mmm. I am. The trucking runs I'll be making will take me away for a month, on average."

"Mmm I cannot say I understand why you are stepping down, but if it is what you want, I don't need to. You've done the office honor, brother"

"Thank you."

"The transition will be an open invitation here at the Lodge."

A nod "I'll be there. Tove will want to provide music. Any requessts?"

"That she ask Vali what he would prefer."

"Mmph" A brow "She'll want both"

"It is good to have ambitions.":

Smirk then cough ("Easy for you to say, she's my wife and I can't duck things")

Frank clears his throat. (" I have a wife of my own, you know.")

A nod grunt brow ("And if I told you it was good Brekke had ambitions while leaving her out of things she wnated to know, it would be your problem my chuckle")

Frank gives a shrug. "If she asks, she asks."

A nod then a tilt "Remember, family discounts at King's convenience if you need anything before a trip"

His beard moves slightly. "Thank you."

He shrugs almost apologetically. What else could he say? He raises his glass "Best to you on your new path"

Frank lifts his glass in response, sips.

"When you speak with your family, if this could be kept close for a little while longer I would appreciate that."

"I'll tell them it should be contained" A nod

And he drinks

"Things going well for you and yours?"

"Well enough. Dagmar is back from Basketball camp. She's recharged I think. CJ remains a handful."

"Growing fast."

Proud look at that "Gonna be a tall boy I think"

"Runs in the family."

A nod "Would love him if he ended up boggan sized, but I won't deny some hopes"

"Love him if he's mortal all the way through." Frank affirms.

"Odds are he will be, and that's fine"

"Hear hear." Frank drinks.

He finishes up. then raises a brow "Vali?"
