For Brekke, while the young ones strategize, she must needs think of who to bring before Leech? Which one.

Access to him will be no trouble. The Count trusts her utterly. However, which centaur? Tiara? Lane? Linwood? Or Jordan? THey are closest. THough arguably any could be retrieved but with extra effort, and the longer she takes to pick, the more chance Leech has to slip his fate

Tiara seems the likeliest choice. Ennobled, warrior, idealistic...it seems almost absurd to consider the others when Tiara comes so readily to mind for the task.

Lane and Jordan both escaped capture locally. Lane embodies innocence...perhaps that is the strength that is needed?

Indeed, the vision did not even lock down age for the Centaur. She is an option, but then they all are

Jordan has encountered death recently, when it claimed his parents and unlocked the truth of his world for him. That may mean something in this.

True, and he seems to have erased SOME of his self pity now that he sees his other kith sibs facing their own challenges

And Linwood...a fine musician, but... Hm, I cannot see him as the lynchpin to this.

Well, there's one scratched off then, her gut narrowing down the list

So she mentally bumps lane to the bottom, that leaves Tiara and Jordan

And that is where her thinking has gotten to when she summons them both to meet with her.

Jordan shows up sooner than Tiara, he was with the other youth after all, now? he's in front of the boat house

ANd waiting for her there 'You wanted me , Chief?"

"Come in, Jordan," Brekke says from within, welcoming him into the cooler darkness of the boathouse where the Kestrel rests.

"Never really been to this part before. Folks told me you guys were touchy about your vehicles"

She's not up on deck, but has taken the moment to check that the hull is tight. "Yes, it is true. The Kestrel is special to me, and I will ask you not to touch it or board it without my permission." The rule is stated as a fact, not as a warning or a scolding. "Jordan, I have also asked Tiara to join us. I must speak with you both about our efforts against Leech."

"Sure" He nods "Not sure waht I can do but.. if it'll keep Lane sa.. if it will help" A shrug

Brekke glances over at him. "I am hoping it will help keep all safe. I am glad that you are concerned with Lane's welfare."

"Well.. you know.." A shrug "Everyone likes her, even Jack not that he'd say so"

and that's when Tiara comes up "Chieftain? Sorry if I'm late"

Brekke nods at Jordan's comment, then turns to Tiara. "No, it is fine, please enter."

She approaches "Hello, Jordan. How goes?"

"Being a centaur still seems to suck, but I've decided guys like LEech suck more, so progress" He says dryly

the 'being a centaur' part actually wobbes on the Gwydion dar

as if he's not sure he believes it does

"Mm, Jordan brings me to the point I wished to address," Brekke says, one brow only raising slightly at the semi-lie. "Tiara, there has been a development in our efforts to combat Leech and his agents, and it involves a vision that appeared in the balefire during a cantrip. Jordan, you saw it. Please describe to Tiara what you saw."

And Jordan does, explaining all he saw and what the others thought about it

"I'm still a fledge myself, but it sounds like your balefire took advantage of two cantrips and used them to advise you? Is.. is that possible? She asks

Brekke nods. "It is. I have been considering how to proceed. It seems essential for a centaur to confront Leech directly."

"I doubt they'd let me slay him even if he's earned it" Tiara frowns "Doesn't seem honorable but... if this vision is right it's not us, it's..da'an?"

"I'll do it" Jordan offers "if you want, not the slaying him, but.. getting close, seeing what happens? Let's face it, out of all of us, I SUCK at being a kithain. THe loss if it backfires on me and takes me too or something isn't as big a deal"

And THAT he believes

A brow at Jordan. "I can tell you from experience with many new fledges, Jordan, that you are nowhere near as bad at this as you think you are."

Then she nods to Tiara. "I do not think the vision describes all that will come to pass when confronting Leech, but the final outcome does seem inevitable."

Back to Jordan. "You are so willing to step forward and face this?"

"So am I " TIara says "But the choice is yours, Chieftain"

Jordan looks at Tiara "Your'e doing for truth justice and the concordian way, yet another reason they want yo u to stick around. You can always help others in the future with that sword. " A look at the Chieftain "Well, not everyone would agree but you're the voice of expeirence.. and yeah. I'm good to try"

She looks from one to another. "Leech fears your kith. Desperately. He may take desperate measures to protect himself from you, as much as he can while held captive. And...he may beg and plead for your mercy. Much may happen in those moments. You will need to have a firm commitment to the goal of setting him free of this life, as Da'an demands."

"I'm unseelie, I may not trust honor, but I sure won't trust that asshole's claim to honor so he can whine all he wants, hes' not getting off what's coming to him"

Brekke nods slowly, then sighs. "Thank you for speaking with me, both. I am not much more certain about whom to select by force of reason, but my instincts are telling me that this is Jordan's task to undertake."

"Then that's that. Can I be nearby , say outside the cell door ready to help him?" Dame Tiara asks

Another nod. "I was thinking of suggesting this. Do you agree, Jordan?"

"I maybe cranky but I'm not stupid," He says "Thanks, Tiara. Appreciate it"

"You're being very brave, Jordan" SHe says
