Symon frowns, confused.

"I don't get it."

"Freeholder and balefire are linked..." Siv moves out

"That makes sense. The vision is what has me puzzled.

"They coexisted. Centaurs have been gone since before... anyone knows. How long HAS Leech been alive?"

"Let's see... a Centaur comes before an immortal sluagh, holds out his or her hand... and Leech has death finally appear, annd he dies... then there's a flower.. new life for him onn he wheel? And... that same centaur glowing" Zane shrugs "Clear as glass"

"Okay, why the frowns?" Zane asks

"Why's the centaur glowing?"

"I'm trying to follow you, Zane, but you're making some jumps without leaving bridges."

"Well, new flower was a leap, but we did see one"

"Actually, you know what? I don't care," Sylvi says. "This seems like a Good Thing, and I don't want to ask too many questions to unmake the good of it."

"You are NOT" Nadeen says a bit sharply at Dagmar

Then Sylvi stops. "Wait a second....the centaur held out its hand and that made the thing leave Leech. Sounds like a cantrip, right? But...can any of the centaurs do cantrips yet? They're all so new!"

"Sounds like maybe centaurs aren't Leech's doom, but his rebirth. He just isn't ready for it... or maybe HE doesn't understand what's coming."

"Look, NONE of us are dumb. Even Dirk has good ideas once in a blue moon" Zane says then looks to Symon "No offense to your adoptabro, Symon "

A shrug to Zane - when he's right, he's right.

"Well, who is ready for rebirth?"

Sylvi bites her lip, thinking over the imagery even though she just said she doesn't want to question it.

"I just got here" Jordan says "And even I don't wantt to cack this soon"

"Yeah... once you get REALLY good and decrepit, then the best part has to end."

"So ... " Zane paces back and forth "Centaur plus Leech am bad.. for leech? or good for leech but he thinks it's bad"

"I wonder if wondersquire is gonna be as well preserved as Leech some day." Symon muses. "Not that he has a nasty bone in his body."

"Well...Centaur plus Leech equals Centaur plus flower," Sylvi says. "Good or bad depends on who you ask."

"Yeah..." Brow furrow.

"Maybe we're going about this wrong. If a centaur is supposed to be the death of him, then fate will make it happen. If it's a real prophesy, nothing we do should affect it one way or another... maybe we should just hunker down, protect our own and wait for his fate to find him."

"No..." nadeen shakes her head "The pattern of it... I think that migght be the what, but choice must still be made, action take for it to happen as it should."

"I think...I mean, if we already have the plan and were going to go ahead with it when Zane started the bunk, then that vision would be the outcome of our plan going right, wouldn't it?"

"Omen read the now, not the future normally, so yeah" Zane ponders

"So.. tha's part of Leech's nature.. it's in him already" The satyr goes on "THAT is why he's scared of them"

"Dagmar? " Nadeen asks "Did you ever SEE Leech actually near a centaur?"

"No?"

Jordan blinks "You know, not ONE of the others said they ever had the guy get in their faces. Not close"

"Is...is that all it would take? Just...him being close to one?"

"One way to find out" Zane grins

"Can't we just flickflash him into an arena and let the entire herd trample him?"

"We're scattered now... " Jordan says "And that's a ggood thing mostly"
