"I've been to Mexico but it was only for a mini vacation.. nothing fancy either, but I did get this lovely blanket. "

Brekke nods. "We have close connections with a county in Tijuana. I wonder...do you think you know Spanish well enough to teach some basics?"

"Spanish 101 I could teach" She nods "Is there a need?"

"Possibly." She reclaims the notepad from Frank and makes a couple of notes. "Fawn, do you have a preference of where you might like to reside? What type of place?"

"If I were more clever, I'd say 'ranch housing' but honestly were were running through horse jokes earlier so I can't claim that as mine" A shake of her head, "I'm 50 years old, and found new magic in my life. If ever there was someone upstairs telling me I was on a new path, this is it. So where the path leads? I'm nnot as particular about, but I do like being useful, helping folks is good for the soul. Don't get me wrong, I'd like a roof over my head, and a wall to hang some momentos on but mostly I want to contribute... and I'm not so insecure as to think I cann't do that wherever I am. I've got strong hands, a clear head, and a ready heart. It's good enough to make your mark almost anywhere"

Brekke nods. "I have several thoughts. We certainly have room for helpers here, but there are also other holdings, both noble and commoner, who have even greater need."

Frank's beard moves.

"Well if they're happy to have a 50 year old rookie fledge, then point the way' She smiles

Brekke nods. "Let us speak more on it later, Fawn. What will you need for some first aid teaching?"

"Equipment, the basics, bandages and so on. I can name a good store that delivers he materials at fair rates." She nods "I'll write it down. Now, unless I miss my guess you have other of us to ask questions of, and maybe want time to talk as a couple about something? Regardless, thank you, particularly for helping with those coins"

Brekke nods. "I will see to the supplies. Thank you, Fawn."

"Most welcome"

And she slips out

Brekke looks to Frank. "Many places where she would be well-suited."

Frank nods. "Agreed. She has a positive attitude as well."

"Very. Almost obsessed with helping. She makes me think of AnneMarie."

"But taller." Frank says gravely.

"A bit," she agrees with equal gravity.

There is a knock at the door

Then, "The Spanish-speaking makes me think immediately of Renaissance..." But then the knock. "Yes, come in," Brekke calls.

Linwood enters "Sorry.. sorry" A bit shy , the wilder with a love of music enters in

"Hello, Linwood. Please, join us."

"Coffee?"

"oh thannk you no" He says and moves up "Ah, I heard you're looking to see.. ah if we're missing treasures or the like? and.. where you'll .." A breath" Send us. Daria was talking"

"Well, yes. You seem anxious about this?"

"Little bit.. I don't have any treasures that I remember... but " A cough "I would like to stay here? or near here? See... I was talking to Piper and she says tthere are some good musicians here but they can always use more?"

Brekke nods. "I certainly will not send away anyone who wishes to reside in the barony, providing they are not a risk to the barony. And I do not see you as a risk. That does mean, however, that we need to begin seeking a permanent living situation for you."

"That's part of my problem. Anne Marie got found my family. They've been in a panic. I was.. hoping for help to assure them I'm safe here?"

"Mm. Well, you are a musician...you would not be the first one to impulsively decide to pursue your dreams close to New York City. Where is your family?"

"Western Massachusetts, which contrary to Bostonian lore, does exist" a smile

A nod. "Well...what do they already know about your absence? Do they believe you ran away?"

"They think iwas taken. I wouldn't have the guts to run away." He admits "Nor would I want to really."
