"I'd be more worried about her. One stomp from Stormwake - or even Star, and she'd be a flat cat."

"Yeah."

"She. Or He? Tried to get a peek and it almost took an eye out." He can't help a smirk.

"Point"

"Lucia, maybe you can check out the herd a bit. Sorry. The group. Whatever. See if they're all buddy-buddy or if they just were together because they got grouped up. I bet they all have families out there. Mom could help find them." And then a somewhat worried look flashes through his face.

"Nobody is gonna touch Anne-Marie. We'll protect her."

"No... I mean, yeah. Of course. Just thinking. If the hunters were hiding their tracks." A frown.

"DO they have families to go back to?"

"I'll check on them"

The gryphon chick... or is it a cub, or a kit? Has collapsed into a boneless kitten-type pile and snoozes now that it's belly is full.

Dagmar scritches its ear-tufts as it snoozes.

He directs the conversation back to the critter, away from uncomfortable wondering. "Maybe the thing will talk like your wolves do, once it gets older. It's just a baby, after all."

"That's true. Gryphons are usually smart in the stories."

"Birds are smart, and cats are smart. At least, most cats. Scrot got her head stuck in a tuna can."

"Oh jeez. Poor Peach."

Lucia laughs

"I'm gonna go hose out the carrier. Watch this thing for a bit, will you? It seems to get cold, so wear one of those... weird sling things like Jaymes does, if you can." Symon slips out before Dagmar can say no.

"Oh... oh, sure!"

Lucia nods "I'll check on the Centaurs for more details" And off she goes

Dagmar, meanwhile, uses some raided closet linens to make a gryphlet sling - keeping the baby close and warm as it naps.

the warmth really seems to do it, warm and cozy seems to have it dozing adorably

With the baby settles, Dagmar gets back to veggies.

Siv comes in "Hey. How goes?"

"Hey Siv. Good!"

"Ohoo wee one" she eyes the snoozing gryphon, "Of course Symon got that first"

"Yeah, but I'm babysitting."

"He got the little fellow..err lady? For you, Dagmar' Siv hmms

"No, no, it's Symon's..."

"Why would Symon get a skree yahooing suny sky liking gggryphon? "

"I... I dunno..." Lip bite.

"He's not going to bisect it because it would upset you. He clearly hopes you like it" Siv assures "You two are friends. Friends do things for each other"

"True..."

"Like Jonas and I are always doing things for each other" SHe motions to the gryphon "Don' worry, the little drumstick might not stay here, but you'll get to visit it." A thought "Consider it an offerr if itt's near a body of water?"

"Yeah. Maybe we'll find the parents. Or maybe the wolves might want to foster it? They're flying carnivores, too..."

A nod "Uncle Olgar might suggest turning to the Dreaminnng but I'm going to argue with him if he does that. It's just a baby"

"It can't be just dropped off like that. That's irresponsible."

"It was stolen. We owe it.. like, rehab."

Siv nods "I also hear you stopped the Dragon soldiers from overwhelming the outside?"

"Oh, so, kinda maybe?"

"I frosted the ground. I wasn't quite sure if it would work..."

"It did though and it was brrillaint" Siv smiles "I... think sometimes I forget how Damn smart you are in a fight when you need to be. Symon told me, but I do forgget" Apologetic tone "Sorry about that"

Shrug. "Not really. I don't fight clever like you."

"Well, I wouldnn't have thought of freezing the ground even if I COULD have"

Mumble-shrug

"Got to teach you how to brag" A hurmph

"I mean, I was pretty happy about throwing Flyswatter? It's not really balanced like a throwing hawk..."
