"Now that's using your helmet-head, Dagmar." Approvingly.

"She just might."

"Do we know where she came from? Can she be returned to her family?"

"Though the wolves are a good bet," Kerri agrees.

"Returning her to her family would probably be best.."

Symon shakes his head. "No idea. They could be anywhere across the dreaming. Or the screecher may have just been puffed into dream by someone who liked a baby gryphon."

Lucia comes in "Hearth? Havee you seen the ... is that a gryphon?"

"Yes!" Dagmar chimes.

"So cute..." She says her own winggs a fluter

"It is, indeed. Have I seen the what?"

"Right?"

Head rises and sharp eyes lock on Lucia at the sight of fluttering wings. "Dagmar, the meat!" As the beak opens to squawk again!

"Chieftain.. I was going to tell her that a lot of the centaurs don't have holds or homes. Some only broke out recently. Did she want me to ask the other barons annd Count to findn spots for them?"

"Right!" She offers a gobbet-o-meat to the baby.

"Yipes" Lucia yanks her wings back

The gryphon dips her head and then opens her beak up at anyone who will drop meat in. A softer creel, now that it's starting to get full.

"Mmm, I thought that might be the case," Kerri says, drying her hands. "I think that, yes, it would be best to see what help others would be willing to offer. I wonder, though...I don't know what their social structure is like. Do they seem to be behaving like a herd? I'd be reluctant to break that up."

Symon raises his head. "Hearth... did you get a chance to look at the treasure yet? Or did the Mountain still have it packed and secured?"

Lucia says "They're still kithain, not horses, and while bonds of mutual traumua havel ead to some support and friendship, it's nothing set in stone. I can also inquire of Fenix... or Earth Runes or Brightwinds. The last already having a family"

"The Mountain has it secured," Kerri nods to Symon. "And good thinking, to raid that from Leech for funds to support the newcomers."

"There's more than that." He glances around, and checks under the cabinet for any hiding pooka kids. Then a side-eye at Lucia. "This stays here....?" A question, somewhat apologetic. But Boggans DO gossip.

"Oh, and if I recall from what Sylvi said, Brightwinds also has a lot of remote space."

"Mmph" Lucia crosses her arms but nods

"What is it, Symon?"

Dag is contentedly feeding the kit.. cub... chick?

"It wasn't just run of the mill treasure. There was at least a cold million in cash. Treasures - with a capital T. Things that caught my eye, but my persona couldn't pretend interest in. Things that still need identifying." He leans in close to the Hearth, "And a balefire ember. Let THAT information get out, and you could have hunters here of a different sort."

Kerri STARES at him. "Are you certain?" she says, her voice lowered.

"Gleaming like a ember or a seed, raw potential in a jar. Yeah, it certainly LOOKED like it, and that's what Leech said it was. I would have asked for it. Maybe I should have, just to keep it safe, but..." He shrugs, pointedly NOT looking over at where a round-tummied baby is burping at Dagmar.

Lucia blinks "That could strenggthen any existing hold"

"The nasty question no one wants to ask is, where did Leech get it? Are you going to find someone coming after you for obtaining stolen goods? Or is it a legal aquisition?"

"That...yes, that needs to be resolved." Kerri dries her hands. "Symon, thank you for bringing that to my attention. Excuse me...I must speak with the Mountain."

"Oy" Lucia mutters

He waves a bit before she can go.

Kerri pauses, looking at Symon. "Mm?"

"If I get a say? Not sure I do. It was a group effort. But even if the centaurs don't want to settle down as a herd or whatever. They deserve the treasure. They're the ones that really suffered here." He frown a bit, feelign like he's going soft.

"Oh, except for catbutt there. I got that fair and square."

Kerri gives Symon a serious nod and the kind of grin that communicates that she's pleased without being shmoopy. "Noted."

And she leaves the kitchen in search of the Mountain.

"Well... what do you want to do with her? She's loud." Another meaty tidbit.
