Brekke explains, "Rikki says that the entire prank started as right of rescue for Eden." She sounds dubious about the truth of this statement. "I will be interested to hear if Eden agrees."

"She needed some happy juice, we went to our favorite dealer, pranking," A look at Frank "Mountain, I didn't realize I was KIDNAPPINGG. I thought I was just borrowing a garden gnome"

His beard does not move.

"I'm trying to say I'm sore? Ree?" She fusses with her lips as they twist the words up

A knock at the door

"I have explained that I have been considering banishment. She has offered labor instead." She looks up at the knock.

Kerri apparently heard it to, and comes out of the kitchen. "That will be Eden, I think," she says. "You said you wanted to speak with her alone?"

Brekke nods. "Hearth, bring Rikki out back to the training ring. You will wait there, Rikki."

Then she rises and goes to the door herself.

Rikki says "The ring of doom it is" She walks out

Eden is at the door.

Brekke looks down at her sternly. "Come in." She gestures her to take a seat...the same seat Rikki was just in.

Meanwhile, Kerri escorts Rikki out back and gives her a glass of water...but doesn't speak to her.

Eden smoothes her short hair and makes a motion to someone behind her, then enters in alone

"Thank you, Warden" RIkki sighs and takes the glass as she goes

Brekke looks past to see who is there with Eden before closing the door.

Tikki is hanging back near the stables. The mongoose pooka has an almost trollish gaze, wanting to protect her.

Brekke watches him a moment, then closes the door. She reclaims her seat by the balefire. "Eden. Explain why you and Rikki took the Dawntreader."

"I.." Eden swallows "I thought.. ah.. "A breath

She swallows again "Well, I'm a wicked and horrible person so I decided let the Mounntain weep and I shall laugh at his impotent rage."

A brow. "Do you wish to try that again?"

Then she realizes her attempt at talking true just screwed up an she plants her head on the table face down

A mumbled "My give a truth is busted"

Brekke glances to Frank, then back to Eden. "For the record, I do not believe you are evil. You have served the Lodge and barony too often for me to believe that."

"I was gummed up. Rikki tried to give me a laxative. To our surprise, everything went to shi-.. you know? Whenn.. whenn do I have to pack?" A miserable peek up

Frank frowns.

A brow. "Which of you decided taking the Dawntreader was a good idea?"

"Me, myself, AND I" she says, hen sighs "Stupid forked tongue. It was poorly designed by comittee?"

Brekke frowns with puzzlement. "I am not sure how to read that."

"I mean... no one is going under the bus here, two maybe, but not one."

"They are sticking together."

She looks to Frank, "Sir, we would Never let your engine of raging doom come to harm. We thought the pictures would have your eyes REALLY occidental and then later you'd be playing Chariots of fire as you and Donna treader danced in the field reunited and twenty years from now you'd look on the photos and smile?"

Brekke frowns. "That was a serious miscalculation, Eden."

She looks miserable and frustrated at her inablity to talk but nods

"I was feeling.. I love my Gooose goose, I do but I wasn't even seeing HIM anymore.. the bills... and the taxi... the taxi was trying to eat me."

"Then sweet Foolish April arrived and ... we had that serious miscalucation Eden"

Brekke says with quiet surprise, "I genuinely did not think it was your idea." This does not sound like a pleasant surprise.

"Eden, if things were that tight.... I wish you had said something."

"Agreed."

"The idea was.. it was barely a concept. Did you know Rikki's great great grandmother was a trucker? Suddenly the Mission impossible seemed to at least have fun theme music. We could make it work, only it didn' work. " She wipes at her nose "And... I was so tired of having hearth kerri give me formula everytime I had a belly rumble? I.. this was somethingg I could do. I'm not very good at this emancipated thing"

A brow. "It cannot be easy. And yet...as I said to Rikki, you absolutely chose the Wrong Target."

"And now I'm Varnished" She nods resigned

Frank looks steadily at Brekke, resolved.

"I wish I could say I'm a tory" Then she head desks again

Brekke notes the look, then says to Eden, "I think we must speak, the Mountain and I. Rikki is out back. Please join her and wait for us."

Frank clears his throat.
