Frank and the Dawn Treader returned home in due course. The troll grump spent the next few days giving the Rig a good once-over inside and out. He is living up to his Seeming as well, scowling and out of sorts.

Siv seems to share his irritation, perhaps shades of having her own ship threatened once make her sympathetic. She keeps her dad supplied with coffee and cleaning materials as she helped , surprisingly quietly.

Frank accepts the help, but perhaps with less grace than he might otherwise.

It seems to be a unified family reaction. Brekke is clearly upset on her trueheart's behalf, and she has the same sympathies Siv is experiencing. "Frank, I will need to address consequences with them. You have a say in this."

Eden at least seems contrite, what they've seen of her around. Rikki hasnn't been seen since event

"Siv, do you think this is something Eden would have initiated? I wish to believe she became involved in something she did not expect, but I do not know her well enough."

A huff "She SHOULD knnow better... frankly I'd blame Rikki. Piper's her friend but Rikkis is unseelie trouble in a ringed tail"

"Eden is not exactly seelie herself, I believe," Brekke points out.

Frank is cleaning some mechanical part from the Rig, and he tends to the work grimly.

"Oh Eden talks about being wicked but she's certainly been seelie since dating Tikki. "

"Hm. Could Tikki be involved in this in some way?"

"I cann't imaggine it' he's the most serious minded pooka I know"

Frank rumbles before speaking. "What did you have in mind, Brekke?"

"It was theft, and it put them in serious danger. It put others in danger as they tried to recover the rig. I am tempted to banish Rikki outright," she says grumpily. "Eden as well, if she cannot give satisfactory answer for why this happened. But...it is hard to understand pooka," she states the obvious.

"Oh Mister Dyers will be in a panick"

"As I say, it is a temptation only. If I give them punishment, I do not think they will adhere to it."

"Have you thought about telling her father? I knnow he's kinian but he might know better how to handle this?"

She sigghs "pardon, hwo to Handle RIKKI. I did't mean you wouldn't be able to mom" Siv apologizes as she realizes how that could have sounded

"Do you think so? Has he been able to handle Rikki well so far?"

"Well, she's never crossed this kind of line before I don't think"

"Mm. I will have SallyMae bring him to the Lodge. This requires more than a 'friendly visit' to the apartments."

"Frank, I would have you be part of this meeting."

He nods.

Even his movements and gestures are terse.

Brekke nods and turns, heading back into the Lodge to speak with SallyMae to arrange just that.

Siv goes back tto helping her dad clean

Frank might -just- be taking the Rig apart one piece at a time, to clean and inspect it.

Brekke returns as he works. "SallyMae is on her way to the apartments," she informs him.

Frank nods in response to Brekke.

Before Mr. Dyer arrives, Brekke says, "Frank...I wish to know your thoughts. You have a right to name the consequences."

A deep breath, and he sets down the rag and engine part he's holding. "I'm ... too angry to think straight about it."

"I understand. I am angry for you as well."

"They will say it was April Fools. A day for pranks. But it is not a day for pranks with impunity."

"You must say what you are thinking. Say it now, so it is said. So you will not say it when he is here."

"I'm furious. What they did was incredibly dangerous, and an example of terrifically bad judgement. I wouldn't trust either of them to pet sit a goldfish."

She nods. "I wish to banish Rikki." This is a grim tone -- she has not banished a Rivervale resident before, only interlopers.

"And Eden."

"I wish to speak with Eden. She came to the Lodge after they returned. She was ready to face you, even if afraid. Rikki did not, was not. I think they may not be equally guilty in this."

Frank looks decidedly sour. "She went along with it."

She looks at him silently for a moment. Then, "You agree with banishment. What is the least consequence you will accept? I must know my range."

Frank shakes his head. "That's the point, Brekke. I cannot -think- of anything on any end of the spectrum, that would adequately express how -bad- an idea that prank was."

Brekke nods grimly. "Understood."

Osborn Dyer approaches. In a more just world this man would have been a full blown bear Pooka. He's rather bear shaped, tall with a big belly but strong. The Kinain normally has a smile on his face, today he doesn't

"Brekke, it takes about 7 weeks to get a CDL, if you're going full time. It's demanding work, physically and mentally. What they did goes beyond dangerous; and that's not even touching the fact that they endangered the way I make a living."

"I am amazed they were able to get as far as they did," Brekke mutters, and then she looks toward the approaching pooka. "He is here," she says to Frank. "Let us speak with him in the Lodge."

Then she moves to meet him. "Mr. Dyer. Thank you for coming." Her tone is serious and grim.

"how is everyone? " Mr Dyer says "That sluagh okay?"

Brekke gives him a measuring look. "He is well. Let us go into the Lodge." She turns and leads the way.

"Sure sure.." He follows
