April Fool's day...

So one need not ask WHY a semi truck is missing, only HOW it vanished, and.. WHERE is it now? And WHO would dare???

Frank is on a slow burn, his dark eyes and fixed expression a clear indication that while fun is fun, this is NOT fun and not a protected Fae holiday.

Siv comes up and says "hey da what's..." She notices eyes "Going on?"

And she notices the missing truck "Holy crap." She's fearless, not stupid.

Connor trots up "Hi Cap...n...." Trailing off. "Whassa matta?"

"Hey Connor. Did you see anyonne ah, playing with Da's truck?"

He thinks, trying to figure if he had.

"I was here the whole time. Definitely not playing on no bean stalks."

Curiously, he moves over and waves a hand through the space where the truck normally sits. "Is it an invisible truck today? Like Wonder-Lady's airplane?"

His hand goes 'wosh wosh whosh' through it. It's not invisible. he smells peoples that have been there but all the rain made it hard to decide who and he can't pick it out.

"Humph! Not in divisible." He drops to the muddy ground and sniffs again, looking to see if there are recent tracks of the truck driving away. Versus 'vanishing', flicker flashing perhaps.

Clever. Yes there are muddy tire tracks

"Mooouuuuuntaaaaaaain!" Connor calls, and points at the tracks. His tail flashes. "Can we go on a scavenger hunt? I can smell the tires and go-go juice!"

"Siv, can you come with us?" Frank asks.

"Course, da" She says " I was going to tell Piper Cher was in town and see if she believed me but..meh."

"Connor, you can come if you promise to stay with us, lead us, and if we tell you to, return home. Siv, you're job is to protect Connor; you accept?"

"I would always protect Connor. He's not my squire but he's of our lodge" Siv says

"That's a yes?"

"Never!" He nods sincerely.

"Yes da, i's a yes." She says

Frank nods and pulls his tire tapper out. "Ok, Connor. Lead the way."

He snuffles the air, inhaling deeply, and turns to follow the tracks with both eyes and nose.

And they follow along... the path. It looks like the truck has been driven down the road "How are we.. supposed to catch up with it?" Siv asks

"Hup?"

There are treadmarks, but mostly Connor smells fumes

"Not sure yet."

Siv says "Can you scry it?"

Connor keeps sniffing the air, and trots at a good pace in that direction!

He smells... .well more fumes and other cars now.. but then it stops.. like it stoped making the smells here

He stops in his tracks, and turns in a circle. Ears pricked, and confused look.

"It was here and then it weren't."

A brow then Siv says "Odd"

He tugs at Siv's arm for her to lean down.

She does "I don't have your sniffer lad"

Whispering in her ear, "Mountain looks AWFUL stormy today up at the tippy tops. I don't want anyone I know to get caught in an avalanche, but maybe someone snicker-snacked the Truck on an adventure." He sounds worried. He wants to help, but not to potentially rat out his most favorite Wayfare user...

Siv blinks, then says "It's not normally those I know who could do that to play pranks but I see your point. " She is whisperingn too as she mimes sniffing "How do you thinnk we should placate dad?"

He rubs his chin. Looking at the road, and then around - is there anything nearby that looks natural, a big rock, a tree?

Well, there are trees

Connor picks a particularly fine looking tree, trotting over to it, and then he stops, and sniffs the air again. His ears droop...a and he snuffles more intently, nose up high in the air.

Legends should be sung of this sniffer! For despite the many hours, despite the fumes and distance he smell.s... (See PM)

He turns around in a circle, and looks BAFFLED.

"Hmmmm. Mmmmmm. Arrrrrrrooooooo." He plops onto his rump and gives a forlorn little howl.

Siv gives him a cuddl

cuddle* "It'll be okay. We'll find it"

"But the mountain is going to be so ANGRY."

SO FORLORN.

"Yeah, he's no a big fan of April Fools" She says then adds "Learned that one last year"

As he searches, FRANK gets a text from Kerri: Gerd and I are looking for the DT. I thought it would be quick, but no. Somebody is playing games.
