"Mm," Brekke nods, agreeing with Siv, then says, "Welcome, Piper."

"PIPER, you're going as a flasher, creative!"

"Is it too early for costumes?" She asks with a grin.

Siv smiles glad for the distration

"Siv," Brekke chides quietly. "Ah, Piper, Siv suggested that you had chosen something. I suppose...it is not too early?" Mentally bracing herself for the reveal.

Frank nods to Piper in greeting. "Cocoa?"

He offers.

"Oh, well, I am wearing it now, but I have a change of clothes in case we're not celebrating yet." She pulls off the coat to reveal... well, it IS revealing, but much less so than it could have been! Perhaps in deference to the Lodge, perhaps in deference to the chilly weathre...

"Ooo and me without beads " Siv grins

"And cocoa would be lovely! Is it too early for a nip of something in it?" She asks.

"That is very nice, Piper. Like a New Orleans never." Brekke nods, relaxing...and shoots Siv another mildly scolding look.

"I don't think so....." Frank says a little helplessly, and fixes her cocoa.

"I had looked at this lovely little piece where the skirt was mainly implied and there were suspenders over the panty...." She says, impishly. "Maybe next year?"

Brekke clears her throat. "So..." she says pointedly. "We will also need to discuss our diplomatic positions."

Siv says "True"

"Positions?" She asks, honestly innocently... until she realizes what she said, and then has to swallow a giggle.

At the giggle, Brekke colors slightly and clears her throat again. "We will be without an emissary and, if what I understand is correct, also without a representative at the Caer Falken court."

Siv tries NOT to snerk.

And sobers fast as the mention of the Caer Falken court comes up

Piper blinks a bit. "What does that mean?" Having rarely attended formal court functions by choice.

"Of course, we have done without both before, and I could resume my attendance at Court. But I did find it helpful having somebody who understood the nuances better."

"A court representative is a very social role. Speaks and listens and sometimes conducts quiet negotiations, when the occasion calls for it."

Frank is verging on deep purple as he brings Piper her drink.

A smile to the mountain as she accepts the mug with thanks.

"Some Heralds handle the task in Noble holds" Siv adds to explain to Piper

"Mm," Brekke nods agreement.

"Sounds like it might be a good role for a boggan, they're so good at reading the room."

"Yes, exactly. But we certainly cannot burden AnneMarie further."

Siv looks a bit haunted "Ah.. I'd be happy to herald for tourneys and the fun stuff, but I'm not sure how .. I mean, I Like adventure?"

Brekke raises a brow at Siv. "Siv, I know that you love Rivervale deeply. With that in mind, I will not make you our representative at Caer Falken."

"What about Lucia? I don't know her terribly well, but she's made remarks from time to time that sound like she might welcome a chance to branch away from getting pigeonholed into working for her family restaurant forever."

"I understand and will do what i.. huh?" Blink

Piper quiets, trying to understand the current interplay - without boggan skills at her ready.

Brekke blinks at Piper. "Lucia? Hmm." A pause. "That is a strong possibility."

A soft sigh as she tugs at one of her glittery crepe butterfly wings. "And her wings are lovely. I wish I had a map to THAT section of the dreaming..."

"Frank? Your thoughts on Lucia?"

"She's still a bit sad they don't fly" Siv says "But sh'es studying wayfare so flight is not impossible"

Frank has been thinking about it.

"To have wings for real, and to soar over the ocean only to return to the crows nest for a rest...." Dreamy eyed for a moment, and she seeks one of Siv's hands with her own for a squeeze.

"She does have skills like waiting on customers, some sword training thanks to Sylvi, and cheerleader cliques are not for the socially inept" Siv admits

"I feel she is, in some ways, untested. She does have her Kith's strengths; that would help. Her family ties here are strong. She may not be eager to step away from them."

and squeezes back

"Worth having a conversation."

"Agreed." Brekke nods thoughtfully, then finishes her coffee. "Mountain, perhaps it is time for us to prepare for the festivities."

She gives her tail a little shake, and jester bells jingle...

"Yes, let's." He sets his cup down and offers his hand to her.

They are not VISIBLE on her skirt.

She accepts the hand, and seems unconcerned about the location of jingle bells. "Please excuse us," she says to Siv and Piper.

"Looking forward to your costumes! If I can help with any setup, let me know."

Piper gets a smile from Siv
