"It's like a magic coat! She wouldn't let me try it on though. She just..." He pulls a throw blanket on the bed, and wraps it around himself with a shimmy. "And then Orf Orf!"

"And she can do it while you watch? She's not like a pooka, where you can't be watching?" A glance to Gerd with a grin.

"Well, it's not polite maybe, but she CAN."

A smile "Seal coat or other seal thing is needed" Gerd explains "And they have to be near ann ocean shore"

He says in a stage whisper, "She's NAKEY under there so it's not nice to look. You have to have a dress nearby."

A cough to hide a laugh

"Oh! Oh, so, it's not like...clothes and all change. Okay." She has the courtesy to blush on his behalf. "Sorry, I didn't understand. I haven't spent any time with selkies."

"You should! They are the friendly pooka of the sea. Not like the chicken of the sea, that's different."

"Because you can't tuna fish," she says with a solemn nod.

Gerd winces "oh lake threats, how i miss you" she mutters

"So, I'm thinking...if everybody comes over tonight to hang out, we can plan some shenanigans for Caer Falken's Carnivale." Sylvi grins at the notion of a last big outing.

Connor is STILL laughing.

A grin at the aftermath of the terrible pun.

Gerd ponders "We could replace the statue he has on that stoop with something. Leave the real statue where they cann find it?"

"Or dress the statue up? Give it a makeover?"

"What statue?"

"At Caer Falken."

"Oh sorry... he's got more than one doesn't he? the one on the griffin at the star well base, and that one of hemlock himself in the garden"

"Leave it where he can find it... or make him Look for it! A Scavenger hunt!"

"We could do both.. put it in fishnets or something AND hide it " A smirk

"I'm kind of totally loving that." An answering smile.

"Think of it as waving goodbye to him with style" A grin

"Mmph, before he can slap me with a title," she nods emphatically.

Gerd laughs "Good news? that's the one night he won't have the authority"

"Big wins all around!"

then gerd blinks "Oh wow. Your mom is TOTALLY going hurl a pie at him or something isn' she?"

"I like pie!"

"Maybe you'll be able to lick it off the Count's face" Gerd smiles big

"I think she's wanted to in the past, but...I guess...she might just!" A look of wonder, and then mischief. "Maybe I could encourage her...."

Chortles. "Buddy might! Especially if it's blueberry!"

"Okay, I really want to see that!"

"Dooo eeeeeet" Gerd says

Sylvi rubs her hands together. "Okay, I've got to FOCUS on this so I can get it done so there will be ALL THE TIME FOR SHENANIGAN PLANNING!"

And sorting/packing/storing/tossing resumes in earnest!

Connor helps! Well, with Gerd on hand, he doesn't get them TOO much behind.

And Gerd throws in hop scothingg some things into boxes

Siv comees in from patrol, sighing a bit and looking for a drink.

Frank is at his desk, reading.

"Evening, Siv." he greets his daughter. There's a glass of cider at his hand.

"You too?" She notes the cider in his hand "Yeah" A sigh

"Mm?"

He looks up, half-moon spectacles on his nose.

"Sorry, was getting myself a shot of booze. Just one" And she does so, coming back to him with a glass of rum in her hand "I thought you might be feeling like me. Sort of sad that Sylvi is leaving after Carnival"

Frank nods. "I will miss her."

"Me too. I mean, I know she's not dead. there's a trod even... we visit with little effort but it's still... she won't be here" A sip of her rum "I hadn't realized I like having her as someone close to my age I could turn to"

Frank nods. "Might tell her that."

"Oh sure, be logical. But I don't want to make her feel bad.. like she's desserting us or some nonsense. She's got her own life to lead. I don' want to make her feel guilty for doing the same thing I did at Earth Runes for a while" A pause "mmm not that she'll join a house or anything"

"Could tell her that, too."

"I could, but I'm worried it'll come out wrong. Maybe a bit of rum will add eloquence to my tongue" Another swig
