"Wow...Siv chaperoning a childling fieldtrip. She is fearless."

Gerd says "She collapsed when she got back to the lodge and slept for at least four hours" She looks amused "Amateur"

"Ha! Well, I guess she was raised without being exposed to any younger kids. She's still figuring it out."

"Fishes are supposed to live in SCHOOLS."

A grin.

A laugh. "She is never going to live that nickname down."

"I watched a movie! It goes... umm... Ponyo! Ponyo! Ponyo, fishy in the sea! Tiny little fishy who could you really be?? Ponyo, Ponyo Ponyo magic sets it free!! Oh she's a little girl with a round tummy!" He giggles!

"Siv stuck her TONGUE out at me. And Piper wouldn't stop laughing."

Baffled, Sylvi still grins since Connor's enjoying himself. "You know, better be careful about teasing her when she's you're only ride home!"

"Gerd would come get me." He says, confidently.

"That's true. And Siv would never really leave anybody behind."

"That's what sisters are FOR!"

"And I have a LOT of sisters."

A suddenly shy glance over at Sylvi, in case she refutes that.

Gerd says "I just want it known I was on the sister train before it was cool" Mock humph

Sylvi blinks. "You mean...I get to count as a sister?" This seems an unexpected honor.

"I mean...maybe I didn't understand that, Connor, sorry. It's all good." She grins.

He ducks his head and smiles bashfully. "Gerd is always my sister. But I think I have a lot of family."

"You totally do." He gets another hug.

"It can be hard to see." He admits. "Even if they go away for a bit." He touches his tabard, thinking of Dagmar.

"How's squiring going, anyway, Connor?"

"He's acing it" Gerd says

"It's hard to to help sometimes, when you're inside a box."

A blink. "Inside a box?"

"Where it's safe." He nods.

"Um...okay. So...hard to help when people are trying to protect you?"

NOD.

"Got it. And yeah. But the thing is that there's still plenty of help you can do, all the time. It might not always be the most glamourous or fun things, but they really do help. Like when you make sure Dagmar has her armor, or when you take care of something she can't do because she's doing knight stuff. That's important."

"If it helps, there WAS a chance a shark would have eaten you while you were at the beach" Gerd points out

"Siv wouldn't let no shark eat ME!" He grins. "I swim like a dogfish. And Foam was there too, and she's fast and smart enough to fool any ol' sharks."

Gerd says "Yeah, okay, ,seeing Foam again was cool" She continues to help pack "Uhm these fancy shoes going with you?"

Sylvi glances over and practically yanks the shoes...THE shoes...out of Gerd's hands. "Uh, yes, YES, yes, these are definitely coming with me. Thanks." And she quickly packs them deep in the box she's working on.

"Oookaay..." gerd raises a brow

"Sorry. Just...I think my dad would flip out if he saw those."

"ha. He probably would"

She makes up the lie quickly, throwing her father under the chimeric bus.

Gerd say "Okay, remember, my flickerlashing snicker snacking skills are at your service for a bit, and I won't be a stranger as that's where Wudlig usually is" She actually perks up and looks relieved

"Thanks. I don't want to burden you too much...but I might need to for the first couple of weeks. I mean, unless...hm...maybe I should rent a box truck or something for all this."

"If only we knew a guy with a truck."

Connor may not roll his eyes, but he grins.

Raising a hand as if to pull the horn cable on a big rig. "HONK HONK."

"Well, Uncle Frank has the Dawntreader, but that's just the cab. I wouldn't want him to arrange for a whole, like, truck just for me moving a few boxes!"

"But he's the king of the road trip." Bouncing. "Road TRIP! Road TRIP!"

"He's also the Mountain. He's got more important things to do."

"There's nothing more important."

Hands on his hips!

"Actually... I think it will help me a lot too" Thougghful still "Talk to you later about that" not for little ears

Head-tilt.

Sylvi nods but doesn't make a big deal about that. "Connor, tell me more about Foam. Does she change like a pooka changes, or does she actually have to take her skin off?"
