Kerri looks to Brogan. "You said defeating him in trial by combat might make it worse?"

"Maybe we make it clear that this is more trouble then his vendetta is worth? Would that work? Or is he hell-bent on vengeance so much that he'd be blinded to common sense?"

"He messes with her, he messes with all of us."

A glance at Brogan, slightly narrowed eyes. Considering.

"This is a good question, Symon. I do not know him." Brekke says.

Brekke shares a brief, grim glance with Kerri.

Brogan says "It depends but yes... " A pause "you want me to go on?" The boy looks.. a bit nervous

"Please," Kerri invites.

Symon nods.

Frank nods.

"if you take him in what he sees as a personal matter of honor and vengeance, he's likely to see you not as a legitimate champion, but an interloper. Worse, it will rub his loss in his face ... and then there will be TWO folks he's mad about." A look to Symon "And.. I think the 'blinded to common sense' might be a matter. Though.. if one were to threaten him WITH furhter shame, if it didn't make an enemy it might cause him to balk. We're not cookie cutter. Obviously some Daireann are very different or Miss Anne Marie's removal of one to another wouldn't matter"

"The Ward went to another in the same House?" Brekke asks. She had not been clear on this part.

"The girl you rescued - is she Daireann as well?" Blinking. "Maybe her new Liege should be the one to step up as champion. Keep it as House Business."

Kerri blinks. "That's...a really good idea."

"Well by now, she's been mentored and is her own " A shrug "So her former mentor may have no other link"

'And yes, it was a Daireann matter." he explains

Anne Marie says "I didn't mention that? I.. well at the time I didn't know anything about these new fangled Houses. So I thought it best to move one to the other as long as the other wasnt abusive"

Brekke nods thoughtfully. "Do we now where the Ward is now?"

"Cleveland" Anne Marie says Wihout missing a beat "2613 Sherman Way"

Siv stares at Anne Marie at this. She may not be alone

"Maybe she can champion herself."

"I mean, how long ago was this?"

"Oh Kenna's just a girl" Anne Marie fusses. "Barely 15 and a half."

Siv keeps staring

Brekke looks at the teens around the table, and then at AnneMarie. "And she is sidhe."

Kerri doesn't seem at all surprised at AnneMarie's abilities at recall.

"Fifteen and a half is a wilder."

"Well, TECHNICALLY but she was the sweetest little girl... I'm not sure she's a warrior"

Brogan gapes at her "The entire HOUSE is.. we are strict in training" And he leaves it that

Brekke sighs. "Either Miss Kenna knows about the threat to you and does not care, or she does not know and has a right to know."

Kerri asks, "AnneMarie, how long did you know the girl?"

"Well, I .. uhm.. I send her cards every birthday and Chrismas" She explains "I don't help a kid then abandon them"

"So.. ah, 7 years now?"

"Does she correspond back?"

"Oh yes, wonderful girl" A smile

"AnneMarie," Brekke says firmly. "She is old enough to know, and old enough to help."

"He was abusing an 8 year old?" A scowl.

Kerri looks at Symon and looks like she might say something to that, but doesn't.

"Oh this is silly. I am not putting a girl who was abused by that monster against the monster"

"And..yes, Symon"

"What if you see it as a chance for her to regain her personal honor? The choice might be hers to make."

"And 15 is a wilder. She's as capable... or should be... as Dirk, or Dagmar, or me..."

"Anne Marie......"

Dagmar folds her arms.
