"Oh, that's cool," Sylvi says as she makes sure to mop under the tables.

"Chieftain's on patrol?"

Gerd enters blushing "I'm sorry I'm late. " She has been low on glamour lately, something about massive flicker flashing and tattle tailing repeatedly will do that to you but by now has recovered. "My boyfriend .. ah.. there was a surprise and I so lost track of time"

"Mm-hm," Kerri nods to Sylvi, making crisp folds in some dishcloths.

"Wudlig joining us?"

A blush "Yes, yes he is"

"Wonderful" Siv grins "let me guess, Vali is helping with the fireworks?"

"Oh that's 60% Margilita, 30% Tiff, and yes, 10 Percent Vali"

"SO much Tiff and Margalita."

Gerd sighs as Edweliwiss finds a corner to curl itno and look betrayed

"Yes, Eddie, I KNOW it's loud. Let them have fun"

Sylvi mops a little closer to where Gerd is. "A surprise?" she asks quietly.

"Yes.. we're getting married. Who cares about mortal law" She says LIE

Sylvi, not being Gwydion, blinks and gapes at her. "You're...you're not serious, right?" A tense whisper.

"Ack! Ow. GERD!"

Fireworks show Dirk's giant head trying to eat the moon

Gerd grins at Dagmar "Gwydions"

Siv says "Well, I'm glad we had a Gwydion because you about made me jump"

Gerd says "no not serious. It's really.. well well i mean. it's nice you know?"

a knock at the door

Sylvi grins and gives Gerd a quick, tight hug...and then gets the door.

And there is Wudlig "Happy FUrking new year" he says "Can I come in?" And Sylvi notices he's wearing a gothic garter on his shoulder. He has Gerd's favor!

A smile. "Get in here, you!" She gestures him in. "We're doing final cleanup and enjoying some intense fireworks."

Another smile for Gerd.

"Gonna sweep out the old year."

"I saw..." He says with a smile, then sees Gerd and nods "I brought my zoomba.. if you want me ot use it on the floor?"

"Oh! Uhhhh...." Sylvi is resuming with the mop, and gives a worried look to her mother.

"That's a great offer, Wudlig," Kerri says, "but we're just about done."

"See it lets you have internet conversations WHILE it cleans the place.. oh. okay" He accepts it with grace "Happy new years eve, Hearth Kerri. "

"Thank you, Wudlig."

"Everything okay at DarkGate?" Sylvi asks.

"I mean, I guess it is, or you wouldn't be able to visit."

She finishes up the mopping.

"Why would you want to talk over a vacuum?"

"Darkgate is fine" Wudlig says then adds "And so is its storm" Kindly. He kisses Gerd's hand

"Oh, it stops cleaning when you speak.. I'm still working on it" He admits

"You'll get it" Gerd beams. Looks like her contribution to work tonight is going to be distracted

It's a good thing the works almost done. Kerri has stacked laundry in its appropriate piles, and is handing different stacks out to different people to be put away.

Siv grins at the sight of the favor

But then grabs the stack she's handed and gets to it. In fact, she seems eager to take more if it helps Gerd and Wudlig have time together

The fireworks are finishing up... as horses made of stars ride into the night

"Oh, those ones are pretty..."

"Why don't you two go out and catch the last bits," Kerri says to Gerd and Wudlig.

"Oh, yes, Hearth, thank you" And WUdlig takes Gerd out. Gerd Blushes FURIOUSLY but says "Well, if you think it's a good idea.."

and out they go.

Siv comes back for another stack "Okay. Wudlig not only gets to live, I think he's getting a birthday present from me this year. He is GOOD to her"

The entire lodge is sparkling. Sally Mae says "I'm so tempted to open a window let a breeeze through but I believe the opening is hearth's right.. and Hearth's rite" A smile

"Yeah?"

"It will be...at midnight," Kerri agrees.

Her gaze follows where Gerd and Wudlig went. A somewhat satisfied look...but also some kind of calculation.
